I'm going with Ed Oliver.  I love watching his press conferences these days.  What a difference from his early years!  He's honest, self-aware, thoughtful, and composed.  Anybody else come to mind both currently or in the past?

Can you say more on Ed? What specific examples are you drawing from? Super interesting take on a guy who's been a bit of an enigma to date.

His game against the Lions (and their physical, top-rated o-line) last season was complete and ELITE. That Aaron Donald-Lyte type of disruption and aggression that the optimists hoped for when he was drafted. In context, over the final 7 games last year, beginning with the Rams wk 14 and ending with the Chiefs in the AFCCG, Oliver recorded 10 QB hits, 19 tackles, 4 TFLs, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery (while playing ~70% of snaps over that span). He played well when it mattered overall, despite being completely invisible for at least 2 of those final 7 games (DEN and NE). Inconsistency his biggest issue?

Ahhh....I need to reword my post. I was talking strictly from a personality stand-point.  On field, I completely agree, he's been a mixed bag.

Awesome! What are you referencing when you identify his matured personality? I want to watch/listen/read.

When he came into the league he was guarded, uncomfortable in front of the camera, had difficulty expressing himself, and seemed generally tense.  Watching him now, https://www.buffalobills.com/video/ed-oliver-the-rookies-keep-me-young is like watching a completely different guy.  He's aware that he's changed and speaks to it several times.  From a human interest stand-point, I find his maturation fascinating.

He was excellent in that New England game even if he didn't trouble the stat sheet. He terrorised their interior. His pass rush win rate that day despite being double teamed all day woulda been sky high. He was quiet vs the Broncos... and more generally I think you can ask about consistency... especially because his first half of the season was really below par.

Marshawn Lynch.

Might not have been entirely here his growing up but the man he is off the field during the later years and today is certainly worth commending and applauding.

Bonus, Buffalo staff member:

Aaron Kromer. First stint here I remember some absolute madness he got himself into with a young boy. SMH.

For me, there’s no better example of growing up than Aaron Williams

he was a spoiled, lazy punk at first. Fred Jackson took him under his wing and turned him around.

Eric Moulds.  His maturity was actually a red flag when he was drafted, but then the vets hazed him a bit coming in.   They all ordered pizzas to meetings or something, as a way to call him out for something similar he did in college.  Kelly was in on it.

OJ Simpson

Textbook case of CTE. But we'll never know for sure--his family disallowed study of his brain.

He was a normal person. Actually above normal: he had success in Hollywood and in broadcasting. But as time wore on, he turned into a immoral raging impulsive lunatic.
