So who in the organization got outed as a mole due to the grey helmet rumor leaking. They probably gave everybody a different color to see who would blab to the press.

That’s a classic look. I think Buffalo has the best uniforms in the NFL..

1.) Bills

2.) Chargers

3.) Raiders

4.) Saints

5.) 49ers

Who you guys got???

As much as I hate Jerry Jones, I'd swap the Cowboys out with the Saints.

Five worst:  Seahawks, Cardinals, Bengals, Rams, Texans

Still have the Nike program. All along, thats been silver and white. I think the general confusion was the Bills were doing their own thing and then have the Rivels Nike thing. Thats still coming, the Bills just didnt clarify which was dropping today although it was safe to assume the Nike thing will come in conjunction w other teams

So, when does the "rivalry jersey" (whatever that means) get announced? We know it won't be worn vs the Jets. Both the Dolphins (TNF) and Patriots (SNF) come to Orchard Park for primetime games. Whatever game the Bills pick will have a national audience.

That game will have a new helmet also.

Their reputation is already ruined.

Hey Chan, as resident Bills historian, please give me a hand here:

I'm as nostalgic as the next Bills fan, but I believe the red helmets had a bit of an inglorious origin. Now this might be a false memory (seems I have lots of those as I age) -- but didn't the Bills switch to the red helmets in the early 80s solely to help out Joe Ferguson? Fergy was clearly starting to fade around then, and I dimly recall the red helmets were intended as a crutch to help him spot his receivers better. It didn't really help, but the red helmets stuck after Fergy was traded to Detroit in '85.

So ... did they really start as a crutch for a fading QB??

I’ll answer that.

Yes.

Back then the Bills played the Colts, Pats and Fish twice a year and they wore white helmets. The decision makers felt it was a good idea to have an “easier target” with those red helmets. Whether that was Fergy’s idea, I do not know.

That Atlanta game will be beautiful with both teams wearing their throwbacks.

Only for week 18, apparently.

Now that you mention it, it would be nice if this happened more often. Each team could have one home and one away with the throwbacks. It's kind of a let-down when only one team is wearing them!

OK, so it looks a little different when painted on the modern helmet design, but I'll take it.

Is Cole Bishop going to wear the Kelso helmet cushion?

Very good. I'm excited about this.

Me too, but I wish they would have used it for more than just 1 game !!

I wish they would open the season with the standing Buffalo and the original Bills uni's signifying the beginning of the franchise from the AFL Championship teams at the beginning of the yr then the second game use the Red helmets and do the same the last 2 games at home .

White helmets the rest of the time . If they did it that way it would represent the beginning and the end in the old stadium .

That’s the story -and I know I read this when they made the change. Miami, Jests & Colts (at the time) all wore mostly white helmets. It still didn’t work very well for Fergy though..🤷‍♂️

And as soon as the Super Bowl era started they get smoked by the Chiefs in that same helmet at home in the AFL Championship game.  Seems appropriate.

Why would you even remind us of that day.

You need to go to your room mister and think about what you said.

On a side note:  My 92-year-old mother has hated the Chiefs since that day.

The Bills will also bring back the 'Standing Buffalo' throwback uniforms twice during the 2025 season. These vintage uniforms, with the bold, red Buffalo silhouette on the helmet and classic jersey color scheme, are a nostalgic nod to the Bills' rich history and passionate fanbase.

Buffalo will wear the throwback jerseys with the standing Buffalo helmet for their Week 5 MNF at Atlanta and Week 11 vs. Tampa Bay. The Falcons already announced they will be wearing their red-helmet, black-jersey throwback uniforms against the Bills.

So Pissed right now. Old man waiting on the return of the red helmets. Always said if we went back, we would win the Superbowl. I told my wife, with conviction, when i heard the news..Honey, we are winning the Superbowl this year! Only to find out it is only for 1 freeking game. Come on Terry!!
