Logic Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Darrick Forrest. I remember when people thought Jordan Poyer would be a special teams only, end of the bench sort of player after an under-the-radar career with the Browns. I think history may repeat. Note: this does not mean I'm saying Forrest will have as good a career with the Bills as Poyer did, only that he'll be a bigger contributor than his past experience and salary would lead you to believe. I think Forrest will make the roster, and I think he'll make some plays for the Bills this season. 2 2 1 Quote

Holding out hope for Bishop, especially if Rapp keeps uo the norm and injured himself again. That pairing of Bishop/Forrest is scaring my hopeful as we don’t really know what we’d end up with; either decent or horrific lol Quote

And he’s still only 28 yrs old so burst should be there 🤷. Samuel and also I think Bishop takes a big leap 1 Quote

I think there a higher odds of him making it over Coddington as they have more versatility in secondary with guys like Lewis, Hancock, and another I'm forgetting name of able to play multiple positions. At WR nobody has Shenault's speed and assuming they only keep 5 "normal" WR, he provides an extra body in game due to injury and also plays ST as the return man. But also possible they go with someone totally different for returns, then both could be out. Quote

He’s not going to blow up the stat sheet but he plays more snaps than anyone and is a key cog. He’s underrated but not a sleeper. Very under rated and for a minute under utilized as far as a weapon in the offense then he caught a important pass or 2 & it seemed like Brady remembered what a weapon he was and started to use him a bit more which I hope continues this season !! GO BILLS !!! 4 Quote

On defense I'll choose Taylor Rapp. I think he is a lot better than fans think. Many have been critical of his friendly fire, but he made a lot of key plays last year. 100%... Agree To much hate on Coleman and Cook for that matter.. Cook has a lot to play for and prove to what ever team picks up his next contact.. Quote

Got lost in a scheme change in Washington. 1 Quote

And if there is one thing this secondary lacked last year it was athletes. Without a strong pass rush it was the classic “keep everything in front of you” scheme because we didn’t have the horses. God I hope that changes this year. I love Hamlin as DEPTH. 1 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted July 12 Posted July 12 I think there is a misunderstanding in this thread of what a “sleeper” is. I mean most listed are starters and expected contributors or players with expectations to be relevant players. 1 Quote

I could easily see him with 45-50 catches for 550-600 yards and 6-8 TDs. I think he really pushes Dalton Kincaid hard this year as far as who the alpha TE on the roster is. I could also see Terrel Bernard and Dorian Williams having solid years as well because of all of the meat that they put in front of them on the DL.. Maybe this is the year that Bernard finally makes the Pro Bowl?.. I also like Javon Solomon to a lesser degree as well. I think that he has uncapped potential as a rotational pass rusher and maybe we can get 4-6 sacks out of him and some solid STs play out of him on top of that.. Who do you guys got?? True sleeper? He wouldn’t have been one last year, but for this one it is Curtis Samuel. I truly think he is going to emerge as a top a 3 target in the Bills offense (combining rush/rec.) Joe Brady needs to be more creative. Samuel has proven for a long time that he can ball. IDK what’s going on or why they even picked him up if they don’t know what to do with him. Hopefully this is the year. Edited July 12 by ChronicAndKnuckles Quote

Dillenger4 Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Elijah Moore. The dude is killing it in all workouts and has a close "cling" to Allen. When you see him in week 1 you will be like: "Holy cow. We are goooooooood". Just hope the D is the sleeper we need! Moore is on every clip with highlight reel action. Testing LED wall content and it's all Moore! 1 Quote
Steptide Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Here's my hot take - if the bills don't have a new contract in place for cook by the time the season starts, I think he has a down year and ty johnson and Ray Davis have monster years. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if cook was somehow "injured" by week 3 and he's missing games. He's not gonna risk a big injury without a new contract in place 1 Quote
