Solomon was projected as a OLB in the 3-4, very excited to see what he can do. Hancock's versatility will play right in to what Leonard wants to do on defense. I expect them to focus him on safety though. No clue on the rest.

This year may start the youth movement. We have had to cut and try to sign some guys the practice squad the last few years that were picked up by other teams or poached throughout the year from the practice squad. Maybe Beane decided to just try and draft guys and keep them this year, just spit balling.

The more I see longer term draft results, volume is the key. The more swings you take at players, the higher chance you have to hit on one and the higher round picks only seem to increase the chance it works out but is no guarantee.

Joe Marino was saying on his podcast that only about 60% of the AAV of contracts count towards the first year cap hit of multiple year contracts. That makes sense with some of these numbers we are seeing. So a 30 mil AAV contract only counts 18 mil towards the cap the first year. Pretty sure I heard and understood that correctly.
