Everyone on the team knew he was going to be a star and already the best QB on the rostetr. Alex Smith was an entrenched veteran though and Andy Reid's outstanding coaching resume up to that point allowed them to "get away with it" for lack of a better term. The Browns should wish they had an Alex Smith and be happy! I truly feel for the people who try to be their fans. 1 Quote

Sanders has his name and 40 passing touchdowns in college.. that's basically it I have not been high on Sanders for years and I'm not going to magically flip it He's tyrod Taylor with less mobility.. a 6 ft 1 pocket passer who can't move great and doesn't have a crazy strong arm He is good against man coverage which is a plus, but he's a little weak versus zone which most of the NFL does I am not that high in Sanders either. The difference between us here is you think the corpse of Joe Flaccon can still play. I don't. Not even a little bit. 45 minutes ago, Doc Brown said: The only real exception to this would be Mahomes in 2017. Yea but you hear people talk about the first half of that season and they were not sure he was the best QB on the roster. Most talented, yep. But he still had some kinks and Smith was playing good ball. 1 1 Quote

Sanders will have 15 pics and 12 touchdowns if he starts 10 games If you sit Sanders he might become better throwing him to the fire will keep his NFL career short and quick as a starter Like tyrod Taylor he can have a long career if he sits on the bench for a few years... He needs to sit he has way too many flaws Edited Wednesday at 10:27 PM by Buffalo716 Quote

And yet he is not gonna get a shot at the job. Only in Cleveland. He’ll get the job, the owner already made them draft him, if you think he won’t force them to play him, I think you are mistaken. I can not for the life of me understand what they were doing drafting Gabriel, dude is a priority undrafted FA at best. What a waste of picks to not only take him, but then trade UP to take a better QB after him. Quote

Jeff Tuel's HS alma matter is Clovis West HS in Fresno, CA. As we all know, Josh went to Firebaugh HS, which is only like 30 mins away. Quote
JerseyBills Posted Wednesday at 11:20 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:20 PM Didn't this board do that through the 00s and 10s? Quote

D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted Wednesday at 11:39 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:39 PM The fact the Browns thought drafting Dillon Gabriel in Round 2 to be an NFL QB is laughable. Kenny Pickett is blah. Joe Flacco is an old fart. Shadeur should be the answer eventually (perhaps after Flacco plays a few weeks). Quote

You can't do it much beyond that. Your locker room won't buy it and frankly the guy who is better and sitting won't buy it either. You might have been able to do that 25 years ago. You can't today. KC did it eight years ago with Mahomes - and he was a high 1st round pick. Edited yesterday at 12:35 AM by BarleyNY Quote

I thought that I remember being reports when the offense went in a slump in the middle of the season that some players thought Mahomes should start. Maybe I'm misremembering though. Quote

Dafan Posted yesterday at 01:58 AM Posted yesterday at 01:58 AM Sanders is a product of his name. Nothing has made me feel any different. Take out his namesake, and he's drafted exactly where he should be. 1 Quote

julian Posted yesterday at 03:34 AM Posted yesterday at 03:34 AM The Browns aren’t the organization to help cultivate the skills and talents of any young QB. Maybe Sanders is the best of an uninspiring QB group in Cleveland, but it won’t matter because until they get new ownership and a new direction, it’s just more of the same. Quote
