Karlos Williams.   Man he was a stud as a rookie both running and catching the football.   Then I remember Rex joked his g/f was pregnant and he packed on sympathy weight because he was very overweight at minicamp.  It must have been bad because he never played a down in year 2

It’s funny how the Whaley 2015 draft went from looking excellent in Year 1, to looking meh in Year 2, to looking like crap in Year 3.

Thad Lewis had his moments in his one year with us!

I was going to say Jeff Tuel, but I guess he stuck on the PS in year 2 for us.

I remember in his first start that Thad managed to take a modest lead against New Orleans early in a game and thinking “maybe THIS is our QB.” 🤣🤣🤣

Mack Hollins is a recent one. He helped give the team more grit and performed well for what he was brought into do.

Underrated one is EJ Gaines.

He was really solid in 2017

Agreed. He was a big part of that drought breaking season. I believe Gaines only played 10-12 games, but he was above average when on the field.

Just going by memory but I think one of those guys might have been here more than one year?

The correct answer is Chris Spielman; accept no substitutes.

But Raion Hill needs a shout-out; an absolute assassin at Safety until he broke his neck on LaDainian Tomlinson's hip.

I think was 97 yards. I heard Fitzpatrick talk about it (or maybe it was TO). Broke the huddle and lined up. Both of them looked at the defensive set and thought, "oh, boy!" Fitz and TO made brief eye contact.  Then the snap, and they just did it.

TO actually didn't have such a good year in Buffalo. He was, as you say, a total pro. But every year in the league after his fourth season, TO went for more than 1000 yards, except for two years when he would have made it, but for injuries, and his single season in Buffalo.  His problem in Buffalo wasn't injuries; it was named Trent Edwards. For whatever reason, Edwards did not throw the ball to Owens. That ended when he was benched for Ryan Fitzpatrick.  It was pretty clear that Fitz's thought process was something like, "Hey, I'm a mediocre QB on a bad team that happens to have a HOF pass receiver. I'm throwing it to him."  Owens' targets and receptions went up. If Fitz had started the whole season, Owens would have been over 1000 yards.

Owens wasn’t the check down so Captain wasn’t throwing to him.

I remember someone describing him as running like an angry rhino, I thought we had a star in the making, turns out he was Kelvin Benjamin, the prequel.

Actually Mike Gillislee who followed him up had a couple of really good seasons playing behind Shady.

I'm so glad you guys mentioned Karlos.  This is such a good pick.  I live near the home of the Patriots now so I haven't been able to get to many Bills home games in my adult life.  I did get out to Buffalo for the 2015 home game against Miami. Shady and Karlos both ran for over a hundred yards.  I got to high five Greg Roman as he drove his SUV through the tailgate on the way out after the game!  It really is true that Karlos ate his way out of the league. I totally get it though as I feel like I put on 10 lbs every time I come back home.  My favorite sports nickname of all time might have been given to him...  "Feast Mode"!

Totally agree!

He would probably be my top choice!!!

On the flipside, would be Billy Joe Hobert who publicly admitted to not learning the playbook as a QB who was needed to play.
The Bills released him soon after.

Jairus Byrd was here multiple seasons but his rookie year where he would somehow pick off a pass every single week was pretty impressive and fun.

How about Bryce Paup! I know, he was here for 3 years, but that 17.5 sack season came out of nowhere and was spectacular. Believe he also won defensive player of the year!

And if we are doing most memorable for the wrong reasons… Anquan Boldin.

Antonio Brown and no one else comes close.

Yes, I’m counting him lol.

That might have been the most exciting 3 hours in Bills off season history.

Simultaneously, the most important acquisition to NOT happen.

Maybe that experience with Brown and later Diggs has just slightly impacted our GM’s perspective on WRs.

I don't even think it's recency bias to say Mack Hollins.

Just answer the darn question.  Lol.
