  1. It's such a strange position that the Buffalo Bills PR finds themselves in. You wonder if there will be even a mention of his passing on the official website. My guess is no. His name looms up there on the wall as I suppose it would just create even more attention if they were to take it down. You wonder if the wall will be created at the new stadium and this closes the chapter on any chance of the Juice being officially referenced any longer.
  2. Taron Johnson is better at his position than at least half those guys. Was he an oversight or an intentional omission?
  3. I find it so hard to put into words how I feel about Josh. He is simply the best thing that has ever happened to this franchise. At the same time, if I'm being objective, Mahomes is the better quarterback. How do you argue with the body of work at this point? Yet if you ask me if I do a straight up quarterback swap with the Chiefs, I'd say no way. I want the bills to win the Lombardi but I want it to be with Josh!
  4. A friend of mine is a huge Boise State fan and while he's not an NFL fan, he never misses a chance to recap Shakir's performance from the prior Bill's game. He told me that Shakir was an absolute swiss army knife in college and they would put the ball in his hands however possible, not only on kick returns but in the run game as well. Looking at his college stats, sure enough he did get about 20 carries per year and averaged 6ypc. I wonder if some of these jet sweep type plays that Lil' Dirty used to run for us, which have been largely ineffective with Harty, could be utilized with Shakir?
  5. I don't understand the assessment of Josh being "off" on Sunday. Granted, I was cursing him out after that second interception in the endzone but to me, this was the most consistent and impressive aerial attack since the Philly game. It simply passed the eye test. I recall very few balls, other than those 2 picks and maybe the deep shot miss to Diggs, where Josh wasn't spot on with his ball placement and decision making. Don't get me wrong, without the herculean effort from McDermott's defense, we don't win this game, but I would not say we won "in spite" of Josh. Didn't you all feel like on balance the passing offense was clicking? That to me, is the biggest reason for optimism going into the tournament!
  6. Did you see that intersection by Ken Dorsey? Said no one
  7. Easy answer here - the average viewer wants to see Steph Curry, Justin Timberlake, etc. No question that Kyle is a gamer and probably the most talented golfer of the ex-footballers. But we are several years removed from his retirement and his name recognition/celebrity just isn't there at this point. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to watch the big man out there schooling everyone in the short game. He's one of my top 5 all time Bills and still my go to jersey for game day!
  8. Wrong movie! I think this was Robocop, right? Both classics but Robocop was an all time fave for me as a kid.
  9. When it comes to comparing seasons across sports and positions, I think that subconsciously, fans lean towards offense. That's what makes Hasek's inclusion all of the more impressive. His level of dominance during this era simply cannot be understated. "The Dominator" winning the Hart in 97 was akin to Lawrence Taylor winning the NFL league MVP as a linebacker in 86'. It had been almost 40 years since a goalie won the Hart. Then Hasek won the damn thing again in 98! Another somewhat forgotten accomplishment that punctuated his dominant tenure in Buffalo - the 1998 Olympics in Nagano. He put the Czech Republic on his back, leading the massive underdogs to gold. I have vivid memories of being away at college in Boston and calling for my dorm buddies to huddle around the TV to watch him in the shootout against the heavily favored Canadian team. He absolutely stoned a murderers row of goal scorers. This video is in Czech, but I think it makes it all the more fun to watch as you hear their national pride and excitement. When this game was over it almost seemed like his shutout performance against Russia in the Gold Medal finals was a footnote. Simply remarkable.
  10. Josh is out there with Mitchell. They just aren't showing the amateurs in the early coverage. I watched him on the ESPN+ app, featured hole 7. He birdied the signature ocean hole 7 in the practice round. 30mph gust today. Just watched him double bogey the same hole. They showed his stock yardages and we're gushing about it. He goes driver 315 yards, 3 wood 285, 5 iron 220, 7 iron 190. I forget the rest
  11. Not only did he do that, but unless I mistaken he made Enemkpali a captain for the first game against the Jets. Or am I just imagining that? What an absolute performative clown Rex was
  12. Again, based on pure physical potential, can't forget Spencer:
  13. If you want to define talent as pure athletic potential, Mario Williams has to be on that list.
  14. I just found the interview on my ESPN+ archives. It's the "PGA Championship final round with Joe Buck". The broadcast is chopped into 2 segments. The 3 hour segment, for any golf fans, is great as the first portion has John Daly being John Daly ripping heaters throughout his interview. The one hour segment has Josh at the 18 min mark and the interview lasts about 10 min. Here is what was covered: -He took the interview via his phone from the golf cart. His girlfriend him with a mystery playing partner as Mitch Trubisky showed up partway through the interview. -He's prepping for "The Match" which is 10 days away. Said his wedge/shortgame and putting are strong and he's working out the kinks on the rest -Says the Brady and Rodgers were the two QB's he idolized most growing up. He wants to trash talk during their match but recognizes he's the young guy so will do so carefully -Buck and Co convinced him to do a brief Tiger Woods impression. Josh said Tiger and Kobe were the two athletes that got his blood rushing the most -Of course he was asked about the playoff loss the Chiefs and if it still bothered him. He said life is too short to hang onto stuff like this and he wants to focus on being the best version of himself this season. Of course he followed up that answer with "that one will sting for a while". This is probably the more honest answer. As a huge bills fan and golf enthusiast, I am probably way too jazzed for "The Match" vs most fans twobillsdrive. I'm curious how many folks will actually tune into a friendly golf match airing on TNT on a Wednesday. I know I will!
  15. So did anyone catch any commentary from Josh? How did he do? Anything memorable?
  16. Yeah, I agree that it seems like Jada, I mean Rachel, might be this guy's undoing
  17. I missed this comment and brought up the same throw later on. Glad someone else mentioned this.
  18. Here is one that is often forgotten because of the stupid "Hail Murray" - That last go ahead TD drive against the Cardinals in 2020. In that drive you had the one handed sideline catch by Beasley which was probably Cole's best catch as a Bill, followed by the TD throw to Diggs which, considering the stakes and the difficulty of the throw, might be the best pass of Allen's career up to this point.
  19. This is best ball. Not to be confused with a scramble. People use these labels interchangeably but they are two different things. This tournament is best ball.
  20. Not sure if you all caught it but on Pat McAfee today, Josh pretty much confirmed my suspicion. He has added about 10lbs since Wyoming, now weighing in at 245, yet has managed to get faster. As Pat likes to say, Josh is a WAGON!!!
  21. I was just talking about this today with a friend of mine. I know that his mobility was certainly a factor in the Bills drafting him but I think his rushing prowess to this extent is just found money. The more he puts on tape of him throwing in scramble situations (see the first Knox TD on Saturday) makes it even harder to contain him as a runner. Pick your poison! He does look like a bit of a giraffe in his combine sprint and I truly believe that his 4.75 40, while still impressive, is way off of his actual game speed. When he hits his stride, just look at how he pulls away from LB's, some of which who ran 4.5-4.6. I wonder how much Josh truly weighs at this point. He looked so babyfaced when he was first drafted at 6-5/237. He looks much more like a man now and I can't help but think he's added another 5-10 lbs just as most players do when the enter the NFL in their early 20's and fill out. I'm sure glad I don't have the task of spying him.
