I've been saying that they can easily cut Jackson, Lewis and Ingram and get them on the PS.  I think that with the dearth of safeties, Hamlin might make it by default, but I'm hoping someone else outplays him.  As for White, he might make it just based on past history.

Trapasso's final draft board was certainly not influenced by the consensus. FWIW he had:

 

#17 Maxwell Hairston (below Revel & Morrison)

#34 T.J. Sanders 

#70 Deone Walker

#98 Landon Jackson

For all the crap I have given McD and Beane, I will say, they don’t appear to be afraid to cut bait with vets they just signed if they aren’t the best option.  I do feel like Tre will probably be safe as he’s genuinely a good player, even if not the athlete he once was, but I could easily see them going for all their draft picks over Jackson and the guys that haven’t really claimed playing time even after being on the PS.  Now if one of those guys happens to shine this camp, then good for them and it may make it harder for the rookies, but all of the guys they took have better physical tools, and honestly all were better college players.  I will be genuinely surprised if the entire secondary minus Benford and Rapp isn’t different this year.  One would hope Bishop claims a spot and in an ideal world maybe Rapp ends up a back up to him and one of the rooks takes the FS spot.

I meant nobody reputable in their mock draft had Hancock above Barron.  I'd question their overall knowledge of how scouts as a whole feel about a certain player.  I know some didn't like Barron because of his arm length. 

 

Trapasso had Baltimore taking him at #27 in his final one.  Sorry for the confusion.

I noticed this with my nephews team in Frisco. They've had a lot of D1 scholarship athletes since he's been there, a rising senior. The OL are all fairly thick but not the big mass guys we used to see 20 years ago. The linebackers, the defensive ends, the tight ends - these guys are all much smaller and so much more athletic than previous generations of high school athletes and it's transitioning to the NFL. These kids have advanced plyometrics and traits we aren't used to seeing - which prevents some injury from wear and tear but they're getting their ass lit up with hits.

If he's what folks think he might be he won't last on the PS. A number of analysts liked him. Beane drafted him because he didn't want him to fall into the UDFA pool. Could well be #6. Check out his combine 40. Smooth strider. Suggests very good body control. Seems a good kid too.

While I agree it's likely he's cut - I could see a number of ways he could make it:

 

1.) He blows their socks off in Training Camp and the Pre-Season and they cut bait on Moore

2.) Elijah Moore doesn't impress in the offseason and/or proves to not be a fit in the locker room. 

3.) There's an injury to one of the Top 5 presumed guys during the offseason.

 

If 2 or 3 happens, it would most likely come down to him or Shavers - as Shenault to me seems more for Special Teams and Return ability and as such would be kept as a "6th WR" instead of Codrington as a "6th CB".

The difference there is a 5th Round Pick is generally expected to be rostered. A late 7th Round pick generally isn't.

They better!!  I’m really high on Strong. Toss up between he and Jackson for best vakue imo.  I didn’t watch any of Hancock prior to the draft and I’m convinced he’s a future starter at FS or Nickel before his rookie contract expires
