Ha! I was at that game. We had won our first game of the season the week before in OP against the Lions - That was my now-wife's first game. We went to the game in Cincy the next week because we lived in Lima, OH at the time. We were 2-0 with her in the stands!

Home opener 2017. We do a big Bills party every year (since 2014) with family and friends. The game was billed as the toilet bowl as expectations were so low between the Jets & Bills. Yet it was a truly beautiful fall day, the game was very exciting and fun, and it was the start of the whole change even if we did not know it.

Mine is a game from 1979…Jets at Bills, week 4.  I was ten years old, went with my dad.  Beautiful sunny day.  Chuck Knox’s 2nd season, it felt like the Bills were building something but weren’t quite there yet.  Jets went up big early in the 2nd quarter before it became the Fergie/Jerry Butler show.  Butler’s stat line:  10/255/4.  The most fun I ever had as a kid at a Bills game, and a great memory with my now departed dad.

 

I’ll never forget that day.

Another low-key one I loved...Bills at Benglas, December 2004...that was the game rookie Jason Peters blocked a punt and recovered it in the end zone for a TD...also, Takeo Spikes, just over from Cincy, picks off a pass and returns it for the TD...Bills win 33-17.

The "Rickey Williams game" in 2002. He goes for 200+ and we still destroy them in a winter wonderland setting.

it’s funny how some plays stick with you. I can replay that Peters block in my mind like it was yesterday.

Bills Falcons 2017, my daughter had just come home from the NICU and my wife and I had friends in town to help us celebrate, me and the boys got to watch the game at the local Bills bar. Tre White had a long fumble return for a TD and Hauschka drilled two 50+ FGs late in the 4th to deliver the W. Only three games I remember from that magical season are that one, the last game to position us for a playoff spot (thank you Bengals) and the playoff game vs the Jags. My daughter's first Bills draft pick was Josh Allen and it has been a lot of fun ever since.

For me its the "No Punt" game against SF.

 

The No Punt game was it for me.  We just missed playing SF in the SB and that game had a "coulda been" classic matchup feel to it.  Was an awesome game.

Super Mario made the strip sack in the end zone to seal the game. Packers were really good that year and beating them was awesome, especially given how many Packers fans I work with.

 

They were not just good that loss cost them the 1 seed and instead of hosting Seattle they went there. We all know how that unfolded

That Colts Broncos game  in 2022 on TNF where Al Michaels was actively ripping on the game and apologizing to the fans is the only one I've seen come close to the despair that was this sh*t show. By the way Al deserved an award for his commentary that game it was hysterical.

This was a memorable one for me too but for a little different reason. I was watching the game at a bar in Depew and remember that when that snow rolled into the stadium late into that game it wasn't doing anything up north where I was.

However by the time I left the place, 20 minutes or so after the game had ended, the system had moved to my location and it was a rough ride home.

2022 Week 10 vs. Vikings is one of my favorites even though we ended up losing.  Two top ranked teams playing peak football.  Circus catches by Diggs and Jefferson,  Improbable twists, excellent commentary,  It was just great football to watch.

I'll start by nominating our home game against Miami in the 2002 season. Ricky Williams running wild, the snow coming out of nowhere, Bledsoe and Moulds taking over, Jim Kelly running up and down the sidelines in jubilation. Just a great, fun game all around.

Drought era, but I'd still consider it a "classic" for all the reasons you state.  I was there as well and it was my California girl wife's first Bills game.  She wasn't a football fan, but LOVED it, and asked "Is it like this every week?"

BIlls v Colts, first regular season game of 1990.   Highly regarded QB Jeff George makes his regular season debut.   He’s sacked 3 times and harassed all day.   The Bills win by two touchdowns.   Now, my memory.    The No Huddle Offense, used to great effectiveness the season before when the Bills trailed late, emerges as the primary offense.   When the Bills first take the field, Kelly is not under center and Rich Stadium erupts in cheers.  There’d been speculation all off season.   The rest is history.    I attended.

This was the exact game that came to mind for me too.  Jeff George came in with great fanfare as the #1 draft pick, and there was a thought it could serve as a preview of a future rivalry between the teams if he turned out to be the real deal.  Like you said, we harassed him all game and he didn't have much around him talentwise, but he hung in there until Cornelius Bennett rearranged his mental state early in the fourth quarter.  I remember how euphoric the stadium was when he got knocked out cold (obviously, a much different time).  What a terrible way to start in the league (even worse for his folks in the stands hearing the crowd erupt over the pummeling of your child).
