I was watching Golf coverage on NBC earlier, and they did a promo for Chargers/Chiefs. The first announcer said "Mahomes, best QB in the league, what more do you want??"......I said " I don't think so!" to the TV, then the second announcer said "I think there are a lot of Bills fans who would disagree with you.", so then I said " Yeah....me......I just did!!"😂😂

Then the announcers went on to talk about the fact that Scottie Scheffler's caddy was asked to come talk to the Bills about what it takes to win Championships...... Leave it to McD to leave no stone unturned to motivate his team🤷‍♂️

@finn is correct.

 

"As first reported by Nick Sabato of the Niagara Gazette, Cine is expected to work out more at linebacker instead of safety - a position that the Bills could use as many potential players as possible.

"Cine felt he needed a fresh start after two frustrating seasons with the Vikings. Little did he know, that would include a position change as the Bills have spent the last few weeks giving Cine a try at linebacker," Sabato wrote.  "Early in his stint with the Bills, defensive coordinator Bobby Babich approached Cine about switching from safety to linebacker."

 

Taking this at face value, Cine may have usurped Nicholas Morrow on the depth chart.

 

Or maybe they want to try Cine out at "Big Nickel?"

The reason for not IRing him is simple.  Keep him on the practice field, getting work in with the team without any windows or time limits to activate.  I'm sure if more players went down at WR, it could have been a different story

Yeah, he said it was a bone, you said it was a fracture, so they have a more predictable timeline.

 

I don’t even know what he adds, not in a bad way, but he’s been a 50-50 low volume player. 

 

He had the 1-49 yard catch against the Texans, the big game against the Titans, a solid game against the Seahawks, but then 1/2 against Miami.

He was starting to ramp up and become a bigger piece in the offense...effectively he got a reset now after missing 4 games and possibly more.

Spector will have 4 games (5 weeks) on IR after Sunday's game, so he's eligible to return.  I don't think they've opened his 3 week practice window as of yet though.

I'm not doubting your info that was the initial diagnosis but, Riddle me This (serious query): it was observed right from the start, Coleman was working out on the sideline doing ladder and other footwork drills with a trainer - with no cast or brace.  

 

Even if it were a green stick ulnar fracture or a hairline fracture which is effectively splinted by the radius, wouldn't they splint or brace it just to prevent "oopsie!" worsening of the injury if he accidentally trips or someone accidentally runs into him?

I agree with you - the Bills are usually savvier than that about IR, and typically wouldn't keep a guy on the roster unless there's a legit chance he's gonna play before (in Coleman's case) the 5 week IR window of 4 games plus the bye.  Even if they don't "need" the roster spot, if Coleman was a 6 week injury at the start or 4 weeks plus a couple weeks rehab, why not elevate a PS guy and get him a game check?

 

Coleman has practiced every day the last 2 weeks and been listed as "questionable", not "doubtful".  So I respect guys that may have some inside info or insight, but it still seems weird to me.  Guess we'll see tomorrow.

I just hope Keon plays at Detroit.  Seems like the Lions DB’s are chirpy.  between the lines Coleman has that swag and he’s not taking crap from anyone.

If a guy goes on IR he can't practice for the 4 weeks he is on IR. They probably, despite his injury, didn't want to take away practice reps from him while he recovers from injury. They probably thought it was worth not IRing him for that purpose even if it meant taking 4 weeks.

Also it would be a bit of a Michigan (State) reunion for Keon and I know that would just warm @boyst's heart.
