Buffalo_Stampede
Who is to blame for the Bills never being a 1 seed? This is not as simple as our playoff losses. Edited August 1 by Buffalo_Stampede

Is that really your argument for Josh being put at #12?

SoonerBillsFan
I'll say it...who cares? We know who and what we have in Josh. I don't care if he ever makes #1 on some damn list, wins VMP etc. Superbowls, that's it. And if you ask Josh I bet he feels the same. Which foot would you like Josh to kick the field goal with at the end of the playoff game last year? What defensive position should he have stepped in for in 13 seconds? 3
Buffalo_Stampede
We can blame McDermott for his defense and Beane for his personnel decisions, but Allen won’t be considered a top 5 player in league circles until the Bills do more than what they’ve done. He’s been ranked about the same every season. 3 minutes ago, Einstein said: Which foot would you like Josh to kick the field goal with at the end of the playoff game last year? I also would like Allen to run the clock vs KC last year at the end. 1 1

Mahomes had to play against a defense with literal dudes off the street. It isn’t even a comparison. And still Allen basically matched him score for score and it came down to a missed FG. If Allen got to play the Bills defense last playoffs he probably would have had a perfect game (Mahomes basically did because the defense was just that bad).

What defensive position should he have stepped in for in 13 seconds? He's statistically damn near dominated, definitely outplayed Mahomes in playoffs. Diggs dropping 1 of the best passes I've ever seen, Sherfield dropping a huge pass, 2 missed FGs.. obviously 13 secs. Allen has just had bad luck and it'd be surprising to see that trend continue,

Allen is a great player and we can make a case that he’s better than Mahomes. It just doesn’t mean anything until he accomplishes the things Mahomes has. Allen should be on this list but he isn’t. Active QBs with a 1 seed, conference championship win, or MVP. Mahomes Jackson Prescott Burrow Hurts Purdy Goff Rodgers Garapolo Tannehill Flacco

Mahomes Jackson Prescott Burrow Hurts Purdy Goff Rodgers Garapolo Tannehill Flacco I’m not even making a claim about who is better. I’m just disputing the fact that Mahomes outplayed Allen in their playoff match last season. QBs don’t play against each other, they play against the other team’s defense. The defense Allen played was dominant and the defense Mahomes played was a bad joke. You can’t even compare their performances because their circumstances were apples and oranges. I think most Bills fans would rank the top 2 the same. Here’s my question, what criteria do you use to rank the next 2-3 QBs?
