When you think about it in that context it makes some sense. And it will give him experience for his next gig. He will be a legitimate OC again and he will make a mark in the league. The OC job in Cleveland is to be in sync with your QB having played the position (no coincidence AVP had too) and to be an extra pairs of eyes and ears who sees it the same way. Brady ran him 9.2 times per game in his 9 games..........versus just 4.8 per game in the 10 games under Dorsey this season. The approach was going to have to change whether Dorsey got fired or not. That's been the way for the past few seasons. Brady just comes out looking better for it. We shall see what Brady can do with the same early season limitations on Allen running the football next season. Dorsey will be a glorified QB coach in Cleveland, but that is probably where he is best utilized. I think this is a good spot for him. I do think the team woke up with the firing. Similar to a hockey team firing a coach. But reality is the defense was the big improvement after the firing. I would love to be impressed by Brady but I just wasn’t. I think his passing offense will be much improved with a full offseason to put his touches on it. Its like a DJ who just plays hit song after hit song without understanding how to sequence them properly for best effect.
