Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government

Recommended Posts

Democrats have become complicit in transforming the Federal Government into one that gives orders and rules rather then listens to the people and rules by their will.

We’re going to implode because they can’t hold their own accountable out of pure hatred for Trump and Republicans.

I may hate Democrats.

But I want them to tell their side of a story without fear of the Federal Government silencing them - thru their corporate weapons or the courts.

Reminds me of some of the blinders wearing posters here on PPP

Just attack what you don't like as "poorly written" by "idiots"

LOL.

.

Standard liberal talking points.  Kill the messenger, make vague references and avoid detail, and claim that somehow the truth endangers people.  It gets tiring.

Michael Shellenberger had to tell Democrat Representative at Twitter Files hearing who Bari Weiss is

The witnesses at today’s hearing are journalists (or “so-called journalists” as one Dem called them) were Michael Shellenberger and Matt Taibbi. Now, you’d think a member of Congress on a select committee would bother to study up on the subject matter at hand, but as we’ve seen with other things exposing the truth isn’t always high on the list of priorities.

Bari Weiss, formerly of the Wall Street Journal and New York Times, has been among journalists releasing Twitter Files. But that was news to Rep. Sylvia Garcia at today’s hearing:

Wow, these Dems on capital hill are really “twisting themselves into pretzels” trying to oppose the Twitter Files as much as they can…

Unfortunately, for them, all it does is expose them as the censorship loving Marxists that they are…

No rational freedom loving American would oppose what Matt Taibbi has brought to light- unless you’re the one being exposed…

The dumbest five minutes of Congress, ever:

Democrats demand sources from journalists who exposed government-media censorship complex.

Get ready for seven minutes of brain-warping idiocy on those points, on top of which Democrats apparently now think journalists have a duty to reveal sources to government. And if you think Garcia’s lack of research into Substack is the stupidest moment in this utter fiasco, just wait until she asks about Bari Weiss:

The winner of the stupidest congressional comment of the day, and hopefully the year, the decade, and the century, is this: “So you’re in this as a threesome?”

YGBFKM.

This is five-plus minutes of total non-sequiturs, bizarre demands for one-word answers when witnesses were willing to give full answers, and a smear campaign to paint Taibbi and Shellenberger as paid campaign activists. At no point in this does it appear that Garcia has the slightest comprehension of the subject matter, nor of the work that either of the witnesses do or have done. Or indeed even the work that they did in exposing the government attempts to suppress and censor dissent and debate, the evidence of which they exposed from Twitter’s communication files.

As John Nolte likes to say, “Democrats sure got it good.”

If the parties were reversed this material would lead every network’s 6:30 newscast.

The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears, it was their final most essential command....

Ignore clear evidence because their party master tell them to of...

Russia collusion hoax and pee tape garbage dossier that supports it

The more likely than not scenario that says covid emerged from a lab in Wuhan.

FBI rogue behavior.  Lawyer tampering with evidence to get FiSA warrants. Agent deleting evidence in key J6 trial.

Government/ big tech censorship revealed in twitter files.

An elected representative, Schiiff, saying in public over and over that they have clear evidence of Russia collusion while having sworn testimony behind closed doors that there is no evidence of it. Gee sounds like the same argument they are using against TC, except that one is proven BS, and surprise of all surprises just more projection.

And finally ignore the clear evidence presented by TC earlier this week that the J6 committee was indeed lying to the public in prime time  "hearings" about key high profile narratives attached to the events of J6.

All of the above and more are eagerly rejected because their party masters tell them to.

“Either he is or he isn’t. If you’re telling me you can’t answer because it’s your source, then the only logical conclusion is that he is, in fact, your source,” Garcia said.

Musk himself has promoted the Twitter Files and previewed their publication before Taibbi released them.

Rep. Colin Allred (D-Texas) took a different view.

“It may be possible, that if you can take off the tinfoil hat, that there’s not a vast conspiracy. Or that ordinary folks and national security agencies responsible for our security are trying their best to find a way to make sure that our online discourse doesn’t get people hurt or see our democracy undermined,” Allred said.

Lil Gymmy has no shame (From TheHill today)

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) slammed Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) at a Judiciary subcommittee hearing on Thursday about “compliance with committee oversight,” pointing out that the chairman of the Judiciary Committee previously failed to comply with a congressional subpoena.

“I think it’s quite rich that we are talking about subpoena compliance under a chairman of a full committee who was absolutely out of subpoena compliance in the last Congress,” Swalwell said.

“So, we’re going to haul witnesses in here today and claim that they did not comply with subpoenas or requests,” he continued. “And that request is so rich because it’s coming from a chairman who himself did not comply with the Jan. 6 committee’s requests.”

Meanwhile the whole point of this hearing is being lost, so that's a win. Amirite.

What’s the “super woman” part here?  She hit the talking points
—China! Russia! Saudi Arabia!—but beyond the toothless declaration that “legitimate questions”  exist around the Musk purchase, she really didn’t say anything.

As it stands right now, there is an investigation into the FTC and a potential government shakedown of Twitter.  There is an investigation into the behavior of the organization pre-Musk.    Maybe she’s looking in the wrong spot?

My favorite part though was how Vic Chi praised her for being “calm” in a committee room in Washington. Apparently he feels it’s super human that a Georgetown & American University graduate, attorney, delegate to the House, and world traveler could keep her emotions in check during a committee meeting.   Maybe it’s time for him to move past a 1950s mentality?

McCarthy directs committees to probe whether federal funds were used in potential Trump indictment

by Adam Shaw

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Saturday said he is directing House committees to investigate whether federal funds are being used for "politically motivated prosecutions" amid reports that former President Donald Trump could be indicted as early as next week. "Here we go again — an outrageous abuse of power by a radical DA who lets violent criminals walk as he pursues political vengeance against President Trump," McCarthy tweeted. McCarthy was reacting to indications that the Manhattan District Attorney's office is potentially preparing to issue an indictment for alleged hush money payments Trump made as a presidential candidate in 2016.
