Why is this in any way odd? An investigation is done by a subcommittee specifically tasked with oversight. It’s not the entire House. It’s their job.

Maybe the “red wave” should tell you what Americans think about the BS.

I hope they spend all of their time investigating and talking about Hunter Biden. It’s definitely what the average American wants Congress to spend time doing and in no way will make them look bad.

So you would prefer the Oversight Committee to oversee what then? I’m sure there’s a suggestion box in the hallway.

From the guy who gave his full throated support to the sham J6 committee that by polling, ratings and other measures said the vast majority gave zero ***** about.

I'm shocked that this partisan hack would find fault with a partisan committee from the other side. Shocked I tell ya.

Classic.

The Washington establishment doesn't care what the "average" American wants.  They care what big money donors want.

So you supporting ignoring all the self-incriminating evidence of Biden family influence peddling operation with clients such as China and money skimming operations in Ukraine?

It’s way beyond that. There’s oversight needed into the role that the FBI and DOJ played in suppressing this story. Questions definitely need to be asked and answered….under oath…as Goose would say.

Take the points on this bet and watch as they all invoke "executive privilege" while citing all the standard excuses for lying such as "national security risks" that might result from actually telling the truth!

You know the standard leftist talking point about Hunters laptop, right?

Hunter isn't an elected official nor does he work for the government.  So leave him alone!

Agreed. The point is to just have all the suppressed evidence see the light of day. Not that a corrupt media will report any of it.

Under our current tiered justice system there's zero chance anyone will be held accountable.

What's on this laptop that's so important that the national government needs to have congress look into it?

And what are the Republicans doing about inflation?

Biden should just pardon Hunter now. Take a page out of trumps book.  If pardoning a bunch of insurrectionists is palatable to the GOP I’m sure a laptop is not that big of a deal.

he is already under investigation I thought.  Double top secret investigation now?

I'm quite certain that oil prices would be considerably lower if such policies in existence when our current administration took over were still in place.

Further, when the next debt ceiling/continuing resolution debate occurs, I'm sure you will be silent as the Republicans advocate for anti inflationary issues.

What policies and how much lower?

Lol. Looks like I triggered some people.

Nobody who doesn’t suffer from terminal online brain gives a flying f*** about Hunter’s laptop.

He’s being investigated by the FBI and if Congress wants to investigate him too, that’s fine.

But don’t be deluded into thinking that anybody outside of people who spend way too much time online will actually care.

Do you get paid to ask stupid questions?

There is o chance that anyone can answer the question of how much lower.

It is absolutely certain that the peak prices would never have ben reached without Biden doing hat he did in his first six months.

Watch this video for 30 seconds.

Do you honestly think that any oil company is going to invest capital which takes years to produce product after listening to this?

https://freebeacon.com/elections/biden-promises-no-more-drilling-under-his-presidency/

The more scary thing about that debate is that he could actually talk then.

For him, that capability no longer exists.

Very sad.

First off, with a non-veto overriding majority in the House and being in the minority in the Senate, they can't do jack *****.  What they can do is block more inflation-worsening policies.

They can certainty propose "good" ideas that the Dems would have to acknowledge and either accept or reject. That's how it works

Wait…what? You’re a smart guy/gal Tibs. You want the House Oversight Committee to work on inflation? And when they do I’m guessing we’ll see a full page post from you about how it’s overreach from that subcommittee.

Cut the crap! It’s not the entire House. It’s a freaking subcommittee. Sheesh.

You make a statement and when asked to back it up you fall to pieces. You are very fragile

How the hell would you know?

By your own admission, you didn't read it.

It is a preposterous question to ask how the price of something as volatile as oil was effected by a President, who during his campaign stated that he was going to end the domestic production means, and thus the supply, of that very item.

Might as well ask for a prediction of gold prices based on FTX bankruptcy. Simply impossible to accurately suggest.

Biden saying he was going to end drilling had a significant impact on oil prices, which are emotional and volatile as always.

Him then begging the Saudis to not impact OPEC's production numbers, or at least not do so until after the elections, is a further embarrassment, though by now, he probably doesn't remember it.

Exactly…and this oversight committee is completely overshadowing the announcements on the GOP efforts to work toward meaningful and realistic legislative proposals on immigration, inflation, crime and energy….

The upside is if the focus on that at least that’s less time those individuals are able to spend planning on how to steal more of my money.

It’s the Oversight SubCommittee. They don’t spend money. Why is everything so complicated all the time?

Can Congress investigate the laptop and chew gum at the same time?

Enquiring minds want to know.

His father's dealings with countries like Ukraine and China and how he was able to use his father to influence outcomes. There is a former business partner of Hunter who said Joe Biden directly used his pull to work with energy companies both in Ukraine and China, which was attached to the CCP.

But Trump and Russia. Right? Let's have Congress look into that rumor.

I can't believe the Dem oversight committee missed the opportunity to investigate

  • Ivanka for the 41 Chinese trademarks she received while she worked at the White House
  • Investigate the $2 BILLION DOLLAR deal Jared got from the Saudis...
  • Trump related expenses charged to the government by the Trump Org for Trump's 500+ visits to Trump properties

Bummer.
