55-35 over 5 and a half years. .611 winning %.  4 playoff appearances  after the team went over 16 years without one. 2 straight Division titles.

Tough crowd..

Vegas still has us as Super Bowl favorites. We should shake that up because we hit a rough patch over a few games against good teams and losing one score games that could have changed with a single play while missing a handful of Pro Bowl defenders. SMH.  🤷‍♂️

Some of you guys would B word about Payton too.

He missed the playoffs 6 times in 15 years with Drew Brees as his QB in a weaker NFC.  There is no way in hell you complainers and pessimists would put up with that.

The very first season Payton missed the playoffs with the Bills....you will be calling for his head.

McD has done a good job so far but there are critical barriers to his coaching and personnel prioritization:

- too many resources (drafts, FA) dedicated to one side of the ball

- Maddening inability to win close games

- getting outcoached in second half of too many games

- letting coordinators free without a seeming ability to influence their plans and schemes

with a Superbowl caliber roster, his teams lose too many critical games.

The question right now is - is he the coach for us now while the window is open and Allen is young

In today’s NFL there’s an advantage to an offensive minded HC. Sean has brought this team to this level but he hasn’t distinguished himself as a competent gameday decision maker. The Bills will make the playoffs but will be judged as underachievers if they can’t get to the SB. He’s been deficient in raising our play defensively and has to take responsibility for that. If you are a defensive minded coach and you can’t stop the run and your secondary gets shredded, maybe it’s time for a change. When you have “13 seconds “ on your resume , the patience level is limited.

It’s how we are losing that is concerning.  The team is extremely undisciplined.  The only team that has beat the Bills has been the Bills.  We can’t consistently beat average to above average teams even though it’s blatantly obvious we’re the more talented team.  We just can’t overcome the abundance of crucial mistakes that we routinely make.

He was hired in 2006 and missed the playoffs for 2 consecutive years in 2007 (7-9) and 2008 (8-8). Is there any doubt there would be these exact comments about wasting Drew Brees? They would have come for his head and missed the super bowl year in 2009 lmao.

I think that's a stretch.

This board can't handle adversity.

If they were Rams fans last year....they would have called for McVay's head after losing 3 in a row AFTER getting Von Miller.

I would support him, but it would be asinine to change coaching now. We went from basement dwellers to contenders under McD. You run this streak out, that's all you can do. The upheaval that switching out the coaches could destroy the team. Unless McD starts yelling at the public like a drunk sailor, starts attacking woman, or kills someone; he's not getting booted. This staff is our best beat for the SB win in the next few years. Let's hope it all comes together. It's hard for it all come together at the right time in the NFL. Look at the Pat's they had to cheat to do it for so long!

That is exactly the point of this debate. Many here (including me) now have doubts that this coaching staff is good enough to win the big one. Let me ask a simple question - when did you last see a Belichick led team make the stupid mistakes the Bills commit to end up losing games?

How many years of Josh Allens career are you willing to waste before moving on? I'm serious.  How many years?

This is already year 5, 4 of which productive,  3 superstar prime years.

So are you okay wasting 4 prime years? 5?

And you want to be my latex salesman?

You don't get it do you. The INT in the Red Zone was on a 4th down. He throws it away or takes the sack its still a turnover lol.

Yes we get it... If you throw an int there you are more than likely looking at a touchback or.... a 34 yard return. I do not agree with the throw away is the wrong choice arguement. If it were, the defense would have batted it down and taken the spot. Throwing the ball away when you have nothing would have FORCED a 93 yard drive.

And The Cheaters are the anomaly to everything. Brady and Belichick cheated their way too many wins. If that's how you want to get the Lombardi then hire Bill and hope he can produce the results with Allen. But I suspect he wouldn't like Allen, too much of a gun slinger. Every other SB winning coach in the modern era does not have multiple SB wins. Not Payton, Not Reid, Not McVay. This staff is our best bet at winning a SB. The only owner that would swap out coaches from a powerhouse team would be Davis. Because it would be crazy!

As someone else said already, Daboll should have never been able to leave the building. All would be right in the sports world if that would have taken place...

There was no way to stop it unless you wanted to fire McD and elevate Daboll. That would have been a tough sell around these parts coming off 2 seasons where only Kansas City has been our downfall.
