The Bills don't have the personnel to run the ball beyond a change of pace, IMO. They're just going to be slamming Singletary against a wall and ending up in 2nd and 3rd and long situations which will lead even more trouble passing.

How can that possibly be right?

Good play by Peterson too.  We could have beaten it with the right route from Davis.  But Peterson made a really nice play.

I said in another post, the break point of that route couldn't be more "7th grade linebacker trying a post for the first time". Like no shake, no shimmy, no fake, no nothing. I really think that some of these players think they can get away with "OK" against good talent.

I would love to be a fly on the wall and be able to see the play call vs. the play ran.

The running game is going. Like 7 different players catch the ball in the first half.

The suddenly…constant shots at the end zone. Target Diggs like 12 times alone in the second half.  Nobody else for 3 targets. Then only run the ball like 4 times.

I just need to know who is doing the cocaine at half time? Allen or Dorsey?

Maybe Josh was trying to set Diggs up to have a bigger game than Jefferson.  No other reason to try to force things when you have more weapons.

Sean Payton is the best offensive mind in the world. Yes, he’s an arrogant cokehead. He’s is ABSOLUTELY the answer to getting you over the top. 1000%

i wonder if he wants to coach again. or if he's just enjoying the easy life.

If there was an issue, you are the sort of fan who would be the last to accept it.

There were a LOT of die hard Sabres fans at Sabres forums saying "HAVE PATIENCE" until the day Ron Rolston (!) was fired...and they would argue until blue in the face that the organization was in good hands.

That was quite a few coaches ago and many years!  Meanwhile, the Sabres still haven't made the playoffs, likely will not this season, and we are still waiting to get out of the wilderness.

I always think of those Sabres "have patience" posts with freaking Ron Rolston, who is nowhere  close to coaching now in the NHL, and ranks as a Top 3 worst HC in Sabres history.

It gets frustrating for those of us who are into reality, objectivity, and just discussing things as they are, regardless of whether or not they are what we would like to be.

Dude you couldn't be more off base.  Just because I stick to facts doesn't make me a denier of facts.  If there is a REAL issue, not some fake made up one by you doom and gloomers, then great, I would accept it.

But you guys in here making up an entirely non existent scenerario from taking a comment at the end of a tweet as some sort coded gospel to what you all want to hear.

Again, this is our society.  People like you scour every word to manufacturer something that fits their narrative and actual facts and truth are not taken with face value anymore.  You specifically do this a LOT.  No disrespect, but you do.  You spend 95% of your time on this board trying to find any shred of anything to make something a negative point of view.

To be honest, you need a new schtick.  You might be one of the least objective posters on this entire board.  If it aint negative, you don't like it.

We hardly ever run draws. Just fyi.

Yeah? Well they did it on Sunday and Singletary was stuck behind the LOS at least once. But that’s besides the point, the point is Singletary is just not good, doesn’t make people miss, and doesn’t have what it takes to be an effective RB in this team, with this OL.

So 22 of our last 24 plays were passes and then we line up to do this?

I would think players would be pissed at their coaches for putting them in this position - again talk about again letting the D know what is coming..

We ran twice out of 24 plays, abandoned the run, have had trouble running up the middle all season long - look at the stack over the middle against team with a strong DL and Harrison Smith. How many times do we get Gabe to push Josh - no wonder he fumbled (doesn't look like a snap issue, but every player on offense knew what was coming) and you have to wonder if they had any confidence in their ability to get out of the EZ

I think most of the reporters end up talking and they obviously can't report everything they know or hear because no one will talk to them ever again...

when you start seeing smoke from multiple sources - digg a little bit and try to put the puzzle (clues) together

Yeah this is what I have been saying... they dont even want to run the football.  As soon as one run play doesnt work they are done.  It made zero sense to abandon the run.  Every runner gets stuffed.  Even the best backs in the league get stuffed.  The problem with our run game is they dont know how to run the football.  This is on Dorsey.  I know our line doesnt run block well but there are ways to get it done.  Dorsey is just as aggressive as Josh wants to be and this is a problem.

I mean wtf? They activated 5 rbs plus a fb for this football game.  Ran well all first half.  barely tried in the second half.  They made a point this year to get a pass catching back in the draft and trade for one of the better pass catching backs in the league and they dont even use these players.  I dont want to hear about how the offense is complicated and rookie this rookie that Hines new to the system.  Get them some ***** plays and use the talent we have.  They dont know how to.  Same with TEs they dont know how to use them.  This is coaching and its all on Dorsey.  He better figure it out fast.

Dorsey called 8 runs in the second half.

5 of the 8 went for 1 yard or less.

You can’t just keep running into brick walls. You’re wasting a down.

So like one or two runs per drive?  I bet mostly on first down yes?  In the first half there was a drive where they ran on 1st down and it got stuffed.  They then ran again on second down and picked up like 8 yards.  I remember this because I commended Dorsey for sticking with the run and not shying away from it in the GDT.

Thats what happens when you commit.  Sometimes you get stuffed for 0-1 yards and sometimes you get through and pick up yardage.  Cant just run on 1st down and call it a day.  They have to mix it up.  When you only run on first down it becomes obvious and easy to defend.  This is a coaching problem.  Dorsey is the problem right now.  Maybe he can fix it but right now he is the problem.

My guess is it is scheme and play calls; possibly poor execution as far as separation from the Cover 1 screen shot and Josh not taking what is there (he is pressing in the end zone)

this is just Josh's nerves  - he really is trying to run it before he has it. Again pressing, nervous etc. It's on him and I would say the coaching staff if they didn't pull him aside to get his focus and mindset right. Help your guy who is struggling right now to stay focused and calm...

Doesnt look to me as if Josh is trying to run before he has it.  It looks like he is trying to get the ball that he never got a hold of.

I honestly think. Looking at those screen shots. The coaches just don’t know what to do. It’s panic mode. Not situationally aware. McD can talk all he wants about situational football. But we have real evidence from past seasons that he doesn’t manifest this into his players. BB at New England would never have this happened to his team. 100 percent convinced

you come out in a spread formation. Qb under center w a read by Josh

no one over center it’s a qb sneak.

light box / off tackle - rb gets a run

dbs playing off you throw a quick bubble screen

dbs playing close you pump a bubble and throw it over the top

This makes me feel better with what I thought I saw at the game in my end zone, Devin wasn't open on the last play until it was too late

Yes I showed a screen shot from the sideline view showing this a couple times now.  The response I got was.... Josh should have known where Singletary would be and waited for it.  Lol some people man.

What you’re advocating for is to waste downs in the hope that we eventually break a run.

That’s just not efficient in my opinion.

Ok so we should never run the football?  Its not a wasted down.  You seem to think rbs never get stuffed.  Even the best get stuffed. Should they stop running the football too?

We ran on first down and got stuffed. We ran again on second down and picked up 8 yards.  Was that a wasted down?

Yeah, he looks horrible here. I assume you think this is "shotgun draw" as well?

People never cease to amaze me.  Singletary makes a lot of good plays.  He just doesnt get the opportunity as other backs do. Yet there are always people that think he sucks.  He doesnt.
