Election Week Malfunctions, Anomalies etc...

Thanks. The 4/5 being over 80 was just a joke. But suffice to say there’s a lot of older Americans - generally really good people trying to do a good job -in charge of the on-site polling places in our retirement communities.
Your overall point strikes me as correct. Problems will arise, fixes will come, mostly just random stuff (“printer out of ink!”) that will taken care of.
I’m just highlighting the leap to wild conspiracy explanations of ordinary issues coming from both sides. That’s America today.

And your post strikes me as someone who has an opinion on something he clearly knows nothing about.

I never saw a single individual over 80.

That view isn't effective, informed nor funny.

It's simply nasty, as is par for the course here, and in the general public.

The people who do this, in my experience, have no objective other than to serve their neighbors, as this is all, by law, local, in the insistence that those folks have votes that count.

My mother in law was one of those poll workers into her late 70s. My comment was meant to be an amusing take (hey,

not everyone was amused) on people finding something sinister about a complex machine breaking and a bunch of well-meaning but technologically challenged people trying to fix it. Not every screwup is evidence of a sinister plot …

That I doubt many 80 year olds are working these things.

The "joke," as he has now explained it, is ridiculous.

The goal of volunteering for this service is to ensure that your neighbors right to vote is enforced.

I did it, and I'm well below the ages listed, was to provide a service to my community.

Everyone else, that I ever met and worked with, was of the same view.

That is a grossly ignorant view on how this system works, everywhere.

Bingo. It's all normal!

Uh huh.

As we witness the mass breakdown of voting machines on the single day of the year they’re supposed to work, cameras going down in vote-counting offices, and the endless drip-drip of ballot dumps — curiously in the most hotly-contested races and most critical precincts for political control in the country — remember that this is all commonplace and normal. And if you think otherwise, you’re not only unhinged, but you might be a domestic terrorist.

This is the gaslighting we have been getting from our political class and the media over the last two federal election cycles. It is purposeful propaganda meant to obscure the truth that our betters have fundamentally transformed voting policies and practices, and then exploited the new rules to the maximum extent.

Once again - the big lies blows up in their pathetic faces.

We rigged the 2020 election so well we couldn’t “elect” enough D votes to get around the filibuster.

And in 2022 - we did such an amazing job stealing this one we love nail nighters.

Idiots

I will say… I’ve been following data guru on Twitter.  Not affiliated with any party. And it’s obvious that they have held the AZ ED drop off votes to last.

Now, maybe they’re going in chronological order.   There is (probably) is a very good reason why they are dropping blue vote while very obvious large drops of red vote will be coming ….

But, if they wanted to stir up conspiracy, it’s like they’re literally trying to do that.

Similar to Nevada, Arizona needs to look at its election laws before 2024 and make some changes. There is no reason mail-in ballots can’t be canvassed and prepped or even counted, before Election Day.

And they'll keep the propaganda machine going by constantly telling you that abnormal observations are normal.

It appears that there is a significant lack of civics education in this country leading to complete ignorance of how things actually work, and I commend you for continuing to remind us of that.
