Could be good for laughs when he gets cut.

Lol, I agree he probably gets cut.  That’s a long time to be away, but this is a low risk signing, so might as well take a peek, and if can’t do it anymore then he’s an easy cut

What does this even mean? “Cooper’s prove us supposedly a 3rd, but could settle for a 4th”?

haha he clearly misspelled “price is” in his tweet

I’ve been critical of Coopers contract, he wasn’t worth what the Cowboys paid him.  Talented, but too inconsistent for that money he got.

So what would be his cap hit if we traded for him?  I mean I am cool with a 4th, but more concerned about what he would cost against the cap.  If he’s still $20M a season then GTFOH with that trade, let him go somewhere else.

If his cap price is reasonable and all it took was a 4th, then I would have some interest.

Honestly, he’s worth a look.  What’s the harm of bringing him to camp?  Not like there are a ton of exciting options out there.  Bring him and another guy in and see how they compete.  He’s an easy cut if he has little to offer, which is prob what happens, just no harm in taking a peek.

But, even if Bills were willing too, I think Kap is going to hold out until a team calls that could offer an opportunity to win a starting job.  Which I think is a mistake, he should just take what he can get to at least get that foot back into the NFL door and see what happens from there.

I would support kicking the tires here, but ultimately I don’t think it happens.

F that guy...not the attention we want for this team.

There’s a whole lotta smoke coming out of the chimney these days. For a team up against the cap, could they seriously have interest in Amari Cooper? Didn’t the Cowpokes say they were cutting him? How verifiable are all these accounts?

The Amari Cooper and “imminent” McCaffrey rumors are BS accounts.

The Kirk news, if legit, should probably push him out of our price range. That just isn’t responsible IMO.

CMC wouldn’t totally shock me but I’d be pretty disappointed.

Cap hit would be the full $20 mil unless we restructure/Dallas agrees to pay some amount of it.

If I had to guess, Beane is going to have a number for some top FA’s, but it will require them taking a bit less to play for us.

Example:  If we want Kirk, 3 years/$45 mil.  But there may be teams that offer 3 years/$50mil.

We’ll be in a lot of rumors, because how good we are and league-wide reputation makes us desirable, but I’m preparing myself for Chandler Jones, Christian Kirk etc going elsewhere.

Hope I’m wrong.. but I do think we may make an expected splash move or two.. unlike last year, there is way too much smoke in regards to us and bigger name FA’s/trades.

My son said last night that the Bills offered Beasley and a 3rd for CMc but the Panthers wanted a 1st.  I didn't see that reported anywhere else so I didn't mention it here.

I thought given all the factors.  But as it usually does, it will probably will come down to money.

Cole, a 3rd, and a 5th.  Hell yeah I say.  Motor and Christian, F Yeah!  McCafferty would solve our returner issues too.  He can motion outside, and really present matchup problems.

As much as I’m weary of McCaffrey’s injury history, I’d do this.

If we aren’t willing to pull a LA Rams and mortgage the future to win (I’m not saying I disagree with being more conservative) you’ve got to take some risks.

Buffalo has shown, knock on wood, that we can keep players healthy.   McCaffrey also won’t be a workhorse here.  Singletary is likely still the lead back and CMC comes in spell him, two back sets, and play in the slot.

He’ll get his touches, but they will be more in space and less grinding through big bodies.

Bills should have won SB last year.  This is our year to win.  Players want to play for Biuffalo.   I make big moves to win this year.

Make that trade for McCafrey.  Trading Beasley offsets a good chunk of salary

Re-sign Harry. Add a NT

Sign Chandler Jones.  Or Ogbah.  We need a DE who can get to Mahomes and Burrow!

Draft Jameson Williams.  Possible best player in draft.  Jameson and Christian- speed and playmaking ability in spades!

draft Azaria.  The best P prospect in years.  No more shanks.  We win field position battle

2, 4, 6, 6, 7, 7  and FA $ -CBs, OL, WR, TE

And I’d add sign Gronk. McCafree $ is 90% offset by Beasley. Chandler, Harry and Gronk would cost about $28m real money but there are easy ways to make the number less cap wise. Unfortunately I think Jameson is prob gone by 25 but there probably will be other stud wrs available like the penn state guy snd Arkansas guy

To me the above and Jameson would be almost perfect.  Adding Gronk, we might not punt all year lol

If the above all plays out, and Jameson is off board, I go CB 1st, and get a stud WR in 2nd.  A trade back from 25 is great too.  They say the depth in this draft is rounds 2-4- so I am all for trading back and loading up on top 125 picks

Agree to all of this. If Jameson is there at 25 it should be an easy choice. For a torn ACL it was the best one to have - clean tear with no other ligaments compromised. Unfortunately everyone knows this and he’s probably gone in the teens. I wouldn’t trade up either for him as you’d have to give up your 2nd. Too much in this deep draft
