Example: If we want Kirk, 3 years/$45 mil. But there may be teams that offer 3 years/$50mil. We’ll be in a lot of rumors, because how good we are and league-wide reputation makes us desirable, but I’m preparing myself for Chandler Jones, Christian Kirk etc going elsewhere. Hope I’m wrong.. but I do think we may make an expected splash move or two.. unlike last year, there is way too much smoke in regards to us and bigger name FA’s/trades. If we aren’t willing to pull a LA Rams and mortgage the future to win (I’m not saying I disagree with being more conservative) you’ve got to take some risks. Buffalo has shown, knock on wood, that we can keep players healthy. McCaffrey also won’t be a workhorse here. For a torn ACL it was the best one to have - clean tear with no other ligaments compromised. Unfortunately everyone knows this and he’s probably gone in the teens.
