Prospect Watch: Kyler Gordon, CB, Washington

Gordon's teammate & fellow CB, Trent McDuffie, seems to get more pub, but I really like Gordon.

Good size, 6' & 200lbs, and looks really fluid.  He's also a plus in run support, which I think Bills scouts covet in CBs. I haven't seen a ton of early 1st round hype surrounding this guy, but if his speed and change of direction #s look good @ the Combine he's going in the 1st round. He was part of Bruce Feldmans freak list, apparently has insane vertical jump and agility #s, do it wouldn't surprise if he blows up @ the combine.  Also has background in dance, Kung fu and ballet according to profootballnetwork.com, each just adds to the dudes motion and fluidity.

CBs that have size, speed and physicality that project as quality starters don't last long.  I really like Gordon.

interesting, thanks for the write-up.  Could be an interesting 2nd round grab if we are able to get Jordan Davis in the 1st.

CB class seems really deep this year.

There’s a great possibility that we won’t be taking Jordan Davis in round one and it’s very unlikely (imo) that Gordon is available rd 2.

The CB class has 7 very good prospects I’d have in the top 50.  Not sure about the depth yet

"Kyler" is such a stupid name, though.

My son had a Kyler on his little league team.......which was refreshing as every single other kid had a first name that ended in "en".

I do wonder if there were parents in my youth who lamented every kid being named Mike, Jim, Joe, Dan, Don or Tony.

Without watching game tape, just highlights, I have him top 7 in a solid cb class.  I’d rather trade back and get him (who wouldn’t?) but i think he’d be fine @ 25.  Love his size, athleticism and tackling prowess.  His ability to play inside and outside is a nice thing to have.

No Kylers!

They are subject to uncontrollable pouting attacks

I have him at worst #5. Him and McCreary are #4 and #5 for me and it comes down to scheme preference they are really close. McCreary is a better man guy. Gordon is a better zone guy.

Todd McShay has Kyler Gordon going 21st overall to the Patriots in his mock draft that came out this morning.  It's the earliest I've seen him going & I expect this trend to continue.

Should have read my mock published on here then Estro. I had him at #17 to the Chargers.

I like Andrew Booth Jr. from Clemson as well

Best corner in the draft. He is my #4 overall player (which is partly a reflection on a weak class at the very top) but he is an excellent player. CB1.

I've seen a few mocks mocking him to the Bills, but I take it you feel he won't be there at 25?
