I don’t know about that.

This photo is from the Super Bowl run. Divisional playoff game against the Raiders.

Thousands of empty seats.

Even during all those winning years, there were ALWAYS issues selling out.

It was always Ralph or Russ Salvatore that would swoop in at the last minute, buy all the remaining seats, and then donate them to a charity like the Boys & Girls club. Happened all the time. I'd even argue more often than not.

Yeah but that scenario is a little overblown

People act like  bought 10 - 15,000 tickets weekly to keep us on TV

Maybe twice a year he would buy the remaining 800 or 1500 tickets and give them the charity

He was not buying 5,000 tickets weekly

The bills broke the all-time attendance record in 88.. we were not hurting to get butts in the stands the majority

Bills Actually did a poll and it was not overwhelming dome

Pretty sure that open air even edged out dome barley

It was given to season ticket holders

Poll had 3 choices if i recall it was so long ago and you could only choose one i don't think we could rank them

dome

roof coving most the seats as to be protected from the weather (seems to be way they are going)

and as is ie open stadium

I can't be 100% certain. But the fact ticket prices crashed is partly due to Pats fans not travelling to this game. Maybe the cheap prices convinced a few to go. We'll see.

Tix are now $49 (minimum) on TickPick.  Most are in the $70-$80 range (in the 300s).

The bills have sold 71,000 plus tickets for this game

That's the only thing that matters

Ticket prices are crashing because Patriots fans aren't buying them and Bill's fans are waiting for the bottom to crash out

There's no reason to go to the bills ticket office and pay $95 for a ticket when you could get one for $35 online

But 71,000 people bought those $90 $100 $200 tickets to the playoff game

By Saturday those tickets are getting scooped up majority

I've been to some cold ass games in Wyoming. Just bundle up in layers and bring a blanket and you should be good to go.  Other factors like price and arriving home super late would be bigger factors for me when considering attendance.

To be honest here

Most of the people on this website don't live in Buffalo

I don't hear many around town complaining about what the weather will be like tomorrow.. I hear a lot super excited to kick the pats ass

I hear you. I mean there will still be tens of thousands of people there, so it's not that big of a factor for most.

Side note: Josh played in one of the colder, snowier games I can remember. Wyo beat CSU in a game we call the "Snow Bowl". It snowed like 6 inches of the wettest heaviest snow imaginable in the first half, then cleared up and the temps plummeted from the upper 20s into the low teens. Head coach Craig Bohl basically turned Josh into a fullback that game.

I'm willing to bet that at least 65,000 people show up to the game

It's going to be loud

Don't let the trolls coming in here.. abd the disguised Patriots fans trying to troll us win

We are the best NFL fan base in the league

We have braved through elements for 60 years and sat through the best and worst of times.. they don't come more passionate besides cheese heads who are spoiled

Every fan base besides the Packers envy us

Yes the tickets are sold. My question is why are so many season ticket holders who are supposed to be the most passionate of the group reselling them.

There could be 10,000 reasons that I'm not going to list every single one

And like I said a bunch in this thread

If I was a batting man I'd be willing to bet over 65k showed up

That's a great crowd in these conditions

There's no real one defining reason. My daughters, for instance. She is on call Saturday during the game. Couldn't find someone to switch so she can't go. Had the game been Sunday, she could have made it.

There are some really good lists previous in this post that outline some other reasons.

Many resellers for years. They buy more than they “need” and resell. This game is a particularly hard game for out of towner fans (1F, home by 3am, covid) Consider

if just a 10% drop from Rochester, Canada =7,000 no-shows.

Generally speaking Bills fans are built tough when it comes to harsh weather conditions. Goes with the territory. If the vote was close it would not surprise me If a little convincing would go a long way IMO. Some fans travel long distances to attend football games. Much money is already being invested. Making the game experience more comfortable and protectected from the harsh environment makes it more enjoyable and family oriented IMO. A better place to spend your time and hard earned money IMO. Better for the athletes, spectators, all concerned IMO. Skilled players are going to play at the highest level possible. More bang for your buck.

Anyone that watched the Raiders vs Chargers Dome game, the ending, awwww man,

now thats what I'm talking about...

I wish the Bills would crack down on those that do that.

You call me out for questioning fandom yet felt compelled to point out you've been to every game since 2007?  Almost if you wear it as a badge, as if you know...It makes you a better fan, say?  Odd

I pointed that out to you in hopes that you think before you pop in here next time to scold people. Just go and enjoy the game, is that so difficult?
