#11 on NFL Top 100: Stefon Diggs!

Recommended Posts

I’m surprised he’s that high, good for him.  With the lack of truly elite physical specimens left at WR anymore, his skills are getting more recognition, very good to see.  Guys like Diggs, Adam’s, Hop, Thomas are all getting it done without the crazy, elite, physical talent.  They are all at NFL standards, but not 6’4”, running a 4.3.

Julio is always hurt, the only real productive speed/size guy is Metcalf.

As usual, fans have a complex.

In the 2020 list the leading receiver of 2019 - Michael Thomas - placed 5th. Proof?!?! Conspiracy?!?!

Well, no. That came after leading the league in receiving two straight years. After he won the receiving title in 2018 he placed just 13th in 2019's top 100.

The NFL top 100 isn't about what you did in previous seasons. It's about THAT year. It's not a conspiracy that the Bills get perpetually screwed, it's because they're a small market team that people don't do their homework on. I disagree on the ranking, burn me at the stake.

There is the Bills fan chip on the shoulder again.... I say it a lot but it is less a chip and more the whole sack of spuds. Michael Thomas led the NFL in receiving in 2018 and in the 2019 top 100 came in 13th. Do the Saints always get screwed too?

Curious to see where Josh ends up. He has to be in the top 10.

He is in the top 10, we just have to wait to find out where exactly.

I can't even disagree on a ranking without getting attacked on this board 😆 Yes, Diggs got screwed this year and should've been a top 10 player. He was one of the main reasons for the AFCC run and made some huge catches in the playoffs.

In regards to Buffalo getting no respect in the media, how long have u been a Bills fan and u haven't noticed this? The chip on my shoulder didn't just magically appear there. There's some basis in reality to it.

There’s plenty of times bills players have been slighted. This really ain’t one of them. If it is, it’s small enough to barely notice.

Comes off sorta sensitive. Sorry.

You can disagree with the ranking but it’s the sensitive “once again the bills get slighted” thing. The dude just got ranked 11th out of 1700 players. Come on.

got screwed? Good lord dude he was 1 slot out of the top ten. Get a grip

I can understand where you're coming from I could've worded it differently. I just thought that Allen & Diggs would be locks for the top 10 before the list came out. It doesn't ruin my day or have an effect on my life like some people on this board. Rankings are rankings and the actual games are what matters, not Pro Bowls and stupid honors that mean nothing.

Since 2002 and no, I've not really noticed it. I think they got largely ignored for 10 years when they were a complete irrelevance. For what they have done the last half decade they have received their dues in every quarter.

You can disagree with a ranking, sure. But when you equate the fact you think that Diggs should be higher with some fictional vendetta against the Bills I will challenge it. You started by suggesting all other reception leaders rank higher. I went back just two years to disprove that.

#11?? Guy won the reception and receiving title. As usual the Bills get slighted. I wonder where the previous years yards/rec leaders were placed.

Boohooo --- #11 is a great spot to be in. dont think the Bills got slighted one bit..

With that said -- Allen will be #4 behind #1 Mahomes, Brady, Donald. I will gladly take this ranking for Allen and yes Brady deserves to be at #2.

Your criticism is a little bit ridiculous.  The PLAYERS vote on this list, not the media, not coaches, not fans.  The players.  The Bills have been on national TV quite a bit the past two seasons.  Diggs at #11, seeing the list of remaining players as well as those he surpassed, is an awesome accomplishment for him, not a slight.  Wake up.

Eh, Julio Jones made the Top 40.. look at his numbers last year.   He’s not that dude anymore.

I think Tre is considered at top 5 corner in the league by most - he was way too low.

Diggs, Adams and Hopkins are considered the 3 best WR’s, by a decent margin.   Diggs ranking is fine - and with another big year will probably be a top 10 guy.

Glad Allen got the respect he deserves by making the Top 10.

Cole surprised me.  He’s a top 3 slot WR, but slot WR’s don’t necessarily garner a ton of notoriety.

Dawkins & Poyer could have snuck in, but are probably in the 100-120 range if we expanded the list.

Agree with all this. although I repeat my earlier point on Beas. He is a top 3 slot guy if you set your qualifying criteria at 60% of his production or plays coming there. Tyreek Hill is the best slot receiver in the league and over half his production in 2020 came from there. Tyler Lockett is a great slot, Cooper Kupp is a great slot. Beasley is a specialist and is really a "slot only" and he is about the best around of those guys.... but a lot of great receivers spend a lot of time in the slot.

Yeah, it started when Tre White came in at 95. I don't agree w/ their list.

This just in: Bills fan thinks Bills player should be ranked higher! 😯😯 The audacity!

idk I think those guys are pretty talented physically even if they aren’t playing say AJ Brown’s game.

Denzel Mims is 6’3” and ran a 4.38 40. Right now he’s lining up with the 3’s and 4’s and was being asked if he would like to try his hand at STs.

THIS is a much bigger gripe than diggs being a couple of spots too low.... if i'm not mistaken there were 8 corners above white. We can all agree thats just downright silly.

I thought for sure Garrett would be in the top 10. Is Watt really a better pass rusher?

Watt is just absurdly good. I would think it could be argued he's a better overall play than garrett. Not to mention his sack totals over the last 3 years are 13, 14.5, and 15.

Well, I qualified that with being “productive” which none of the freaks are, outside of Metcalf, but he hasn’t reached the level of Diggs etc.
