Ever since reading The Bell Curve I wanted to ask Charles Murray a hypothetical: If white people had been stolen away from European by the millions and held captive in slavery in Asia for hundreds of years, and during that period it was illegal for them to learn to read the native language, how would that population would fair on IQ tests and in schools in the Asian language once it was legal for them to learn to read to attend school?

 

And if the white population performed at a significantly poorer rate than their Asian counterparts, would that prove that Asians are inherently smarter than white people?

My grandparents couldn’t read or write. Their son, my uncle, became an Oxford scholar. Is it your position that intelligence is somehow passed on to your offspring? Could it more accurately tied to a respect for education and dedicated work ethic?
