It seems like they have his number or something on him. B-Man
Biden’s policy on China is now outright appeasement. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the White House claim to be pleased by his trip to Beijing: President Xi Jinping actually met with him and agreed to continue talking. Thing is, it seems China will only deign to keep talking as long as Washington keeps appeasing it with actual concessions. Blinken didn’t even get his central ask, restoring military-to-military communication channels that Beijing cut last year but the Bidenites paint as the best way to avoid stumbling into a war. (Indeed, the Chinese Communists still won’t even meet with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.) Crucially, Washington had to bribe Beijing to even get this meeting: It has played down Beijing’s intensifying intelligence-gathering (the Cuba spy base, the spy balloon, China’s “secret police” stations inside our country) and is delaying the declassifying of intelligence on COVID’s origins. https://nypost.com/2023/06/19/bidens-policy-on-china-is-now-outright-appeasement/ . 1

B-Man
Biden Physically Moved Into Place by Lithuanian Leader, Makes Eyebrow Raising Comment About Russia Embarrassing. I’m confused. What is he talking about here? I think it’s Ukraine (does he know where he is?), but then is he admitting we had “thousands of troops” in Ukraine? Or is he talking about Lithuania? Lithuania has only been a NATO member since 2004. Then did he offer them our secretary of defense? Since it’s Joe, it’s always an exercise to try to figure out exactly what he’s talking about. That’s a big problem on the world stage where a careless word can have big consequences, as we saw when he talked about essentially being cool with a “minor incursion” in Ukraine. Biden’s errors have already cost a lot. https://redstate.com/nick-arama/2023/07/11/biden-physically-moved-into-place-by-lithuanian-leader-makes-eyebrow-raising-comment-about-russia-n774723

They've concluded America is no longer a reliable partner. And as such they're seeking out new arrangements and security guarantees with other parties. Biden's personal attacks on MBS, even though true and accurate, don't help. The Saudi's announced another 1M barrel cut for September under the umbrella of OPEC+ with Russia making previously agreed to cuts. What the oil producers are saying by cutting production and maintaining prices at around $75-$80 is they're not going to shoulder the consequences of central bank rate increases slowing oil demand by over-supplying the market. B-Man
More "RESULTS" Biden Admin Reportedly Set to Buy Back Five U.S. Hostages From Iran for $6 Billion. The New York Times reports the deal was two years in the making. As with any deal made with Iran, we shouldn’t believe the agreement is a done deal until the Americans are back on U.S. soil. “The move by Iran of the American hostages from Evin Prison to house arrest is an important development,” said Jared Genser, the lawyer for Siamak Namazi, one of the Americans released on Thursday. The Americans will be held under guard for “several weeks” at the hotel while, if past experience holds true, the Iranians will try to extract additional concessions from Biden. https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/rick-moran/2023/08/10/biden-admin-reportedly-set-to-buy-back-five-u-s-hostages-from-iran-for-6-billion-n1718028 https://www.nytimes.com/2023/08/10/us/politics/iran-us-prisoner-swap.html

B-Man
Joe Biden’s Ukraine defense falls apart By Jonathan Turley President Barack Obama famously warned fellow Democrats in 2020, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f–k things up.” The warning was ignored by many as an almost brotherly reference to Biden’s habit of making false claims (like being arrested when seeking to see Nelson Mandela) or his continual verbal gaffes. Biden has always had a certain penchant for bragging, whether it’s claiming a dead man told him he reached a million miles on Amtrak, being a cross-country trucker or fighting off some “bad dude” named Corn Pop. But one of those bravado moments may have revealed more than vanity. Ironically, it’s the one controversial story that appears entirely true. In a 2018 interview at the Council on Foreign Relations, Biden bragged that he unilaterally withheld a billion dollars in US aid from the Ukrainians to force them to fire Prosecutor-General Viktor Shokin. The Ukrainians balked, but Biden gave them an ultimatum: “I looked at them and said, ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a B word. He got fired.” {snip} While Joe was portraying his work as fighting corruption, some officials were warning that the Bidens could be part of the problem, not the solution, in Ukraine. Leading diplomat George Kent wrote then-Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, “The real issue to my mind was that someone in Washington needed to engage VP Biden quietly and say that his son Hunter’s presence on the Burisma board undercut the anti-corruption message the VP and we were advancing in Ukraine [because] Ukrainians heard one message from us and then saw another set of behavior with the family association with a known corrupt figure whose company was known for not playing by the rules.” https://nypost.com/2023/08/22/joe-bidens-ukraine-defense-falls-apart/
