My guess is the reason the Titans game is taking longer for a decision is because it’s a little trickier of a situation, given that they have already used their bye last week...

I think that’s partly true, but also the decision on the pats game had more urgency because it was tonorrow not Tuesday, ahd the broncos were about to board the plane to go to NE. Nevertheless, it sounds like we will have an answer soon

You are the resident covid expert so I will refer to you here. Doesn’t that only work if people in close contact also quarantine. Which for say the patriots with a couple of cases works. But does not work at scale, at least for practicing. There’s probably another 20+ people who came in contact total. And that’s conservative at 1:1 infection to contact ratio. How do you even hold a practice missing 40-50 coaches and staff?

I'm trying NOT to be the resident covid-19 expert here and to pass judgement on how I think the NFL's published policies do or don't align with good infection control.  If the coach who just tested positive has been away from the team since the knot of positive tests came out Sept 27, it could be OK.  It's not intrinsically impossible for this test to result from contacts stemming from that original cluster from the coaches booth at the Vikes game and for that coach to have had no contact with the team since that time.

We lack information. We don't know what's been going on in Nashville.

That's why I say the NFL really needs to be transparent at this point and lay out their decision making process, PRONTO, because it doesn't look good from here.

What I do know is that it's ridiculous for the NFL to require a progressive exercise program for returning covid-19 reserve list players but to play a game where a team hasn't even had 3 days in their facility to practice prior to the game.

Part of the reason the Pats game got moved is the Broncos were uncomfortable traveling there per Mort.

If this is true then there should be no reason the bills game hasn't already been rescheduled.

I can't imagine any of the bills players or staff want to go to the Leper colony of Nashville.

Kind of amazing, was just looking at the updated 506 maps, this week pretty much every game on TV is terrible, likely the only good one is KC Raiders.  The doubleheader game is Cowboys Giants, already told my wife I could grill tonight as didn't care if I miss anything.  Even the Sunday and Monday night game aren't very good.

Then you look at next week, where do you move the Bills Chiefs as good doubleheader game, good Sunday and Monday night game too at least from a rating perspective.   Possibly an early ESPN doubleheader and Fox gets something back in return

Then they should make the decision they need to make - that the Titans-Bills game must be postponed, and it's too late to pivot back to the Chiefs on Thursday night.

And state that the decision about how to handle the game will be forthcoming.

If they made the decision today then its not too late to play the Chiefs on Thursday.  They would have the same time to prepare as they always would have in a normal season.

I understand its trickier but that is not the Bills or KC's problem.  Nor is it the problem of any other team it has effected and continues to effect.  I would have a different attitude if the Titans havent been busted violating all protocol numerous times.  The right thing to do, IMO, is to give the Titans forfeits until they are 100% free of the virus.  I don't care how that could potentially effect playoff seeding and how unfair it is to some teams that don't play the Titans.  It is the more fair solution to a problem that the Titans brought upon themselves.

I'm fine with giving Tenn forfeits,  but wouldn't reward their opponents with wins.  Final standing will just simple be based on win percentage so Bills could play one less game than others.  In the NFL one win can take a team in or out of playoffs, change from playing home game to no home game, so can't see the league  being comfortable giving a team that much of an advantage.  I'm sure the other 30 teams would be screaming, in particular the Steelers.

Teddy bruschi said it well, "Whoever wins the Superbowl this year will have been the most mentally tough team in the history of the NFL"

That bodes well for us seeing how well our coach has this team mentally.
