He/she trying hard for a bad idea.

The Poster (he or she) understands the 2020 Practice Squad rules.

This person understands that 6 veterans can be signed to the Practice Squad for 2020 at $192,00 for 16 games.

The way a team can sign another player from an opposing practice squad appears to be unchanged. Another team can sign a player from an opposing practice squad to their 53-man roster at any point as long as they aren’t protected. It would probably also depend on the player passing a COVID-19 test. That may be very rare this year as many teams may not need to do that as often with their own extended practice squads and the risks of bringing in outside players.

Practice squad players will make $8,400 per week or $134,400 for 16 games. Veteran players with over two years of experience will make $12,000 per week or $192,000 for 16 games.

Following final cuts on September 5th at 4 P.M. Eastern time, players will either be placed on waiver or become unrestricted free agents. Once waivers have been completed, teams may start constructing their 16-man practice squad. Players can not officially become members of a practice squad until after the waiver process has been completed.

Why would Andre Roberts or Robert Foster re-sign with the Bills for just under $200,000 a season?????????

Because it beats parking cars with Kelvin Benjamin.

Holy God - just give it up.

Yes they will fill all 17 of their spots.  Andre Roberts will be back on the primary roster.

Players will be activated more frequently because the PS rules for the year.

Why would any team not take advantage of the space especially with it taking 3-5 days to get someone onto the team.

LB48, they would be completely foolish not to have as many players available as possible, it would be a case of malfeasance at the least.  Your argument of non NFL level players is a bit weak, and certainly not well thought through. Nuthin but luv,

Go Bills!!!

95 is going on the wall in 2021.....sorry it won't be you Brice ;)

I am sure the Bills will find plenty of talent to fill out the 16 man PS.

Beane must be loving this :)

Good one JMF.  I will be plenty happy to see Kyle go up on the wall in the near future.  Very good player.  Great at times.  Great leader and teammate.

If Paup had played more years in Buffalo, he very well could have been up on the wall for sometime already.  3 years won't get it done.  But the guy was a hell of a player especially in the Bills 3-4 scheme that they played in the 90's

Your point of this whole thread has really been proven not to have happened.

FWIW when it comes to PS compensation the $ figures you gave are the minimum salaries.

Teams are allowed to pay PS players any amount they want to.

Last year teams paid some QBs on the PS around 400k if my memory serves me.

KC signed veteran QB Matt Moore to the PS today.

So much for this thread topic, 17 on the PS,  Roberts back on the 53, and Hodgins to IR, time to put this thread to bed.

Go Bills!!!

Philadelphia has 41 year old Josh McCown on their PS.

Players will sign as needed.  Money was not the issue.

No surprise if you follow the NFL.  Went exactly as expected.
