I just chimed in on the Stadium wall.  Judging by the opinions I have read there on COVID, I’m guessing they won’t like my opinion. lol

I used to love going to the wall. Cant do it anymore.  Its Don this and Don that now. And I'm  in the party of haters?

Haha. I saw a guy in Ace the other day with a WWII gas mask in and it had Coumo's an idiot painted on it.

I bought Planet Fitness stock back in April as I figured the most impactful outcome of covid19 for most Americans under 60 was gaining 19 pounds.

At the bar I often go to, things were back to normal. The owner actually put a sign on the door stating that he understands that times have been tough and that people are still worried about getting sick. He then went on to say that if someone is worried about his patrons not wearing masks, they shouldn't enter his establishment. I gave him a big pat on the back for that one.

It's both amazing and sad feeling a sense of normalcy. Amazing because it's great being around people not living in fear and actively enjoying their lives. Sad because tyrants made it feel like a gift that we're "allowed" to get back to normal.

Beijing authorities have described the city’s coronavirus outbreak as “extremely severe” as dozens more cases emerged, sports and entertainment sites were closed and travel was curtailed.

Parts of the Chinese capital were fenced off on Monday night, with security checkpoints set up at residential compounds, and high-risk people – such as close contacts of diagnosed cases – prevented from leaving the city.

Yang Zhanqiu, a deputy director at the pathogen biology department at Wuhan University, told state media he believed the new outbreak involved a more contagious strain of the virus than the one that hit Wuhan at the beginning of the pandemic.

WASHINGTON — Less than a month after President Trump urged churches to reopen, West Virginia has reported a significant number of coronavirus outbreaks linked to houses of worship. According to the state’s public health office, a total of five churches have seen outbreaks.

Those churches are scattered across the rugged, mountainous state. The affected churches are in Jefferson County on the border with Maryland; Boone County, in the state’s southwestern coalfields, not far from the Kentucky border; Hampshire County, also near the Maryland border; and Marshall County, in a narrow swath of the state squeezed between Ohio and Pennsylvania known as the Northern Panhandle.

The state’s Department of Health and Human Resources announced the five-church outbreak in a Saturday press release about a house of worship in Greenbrier County, where it said “at least 17 cases have been identified.” It did not name the Greenbrier church, or the churches in the other four counties, to “protect the possibility of identifying individuals.”

Trump is holding a big rally with thousands and thousands. That will most likely kill people, but Trump must have his rally https://news.yahoo.com/west-virginia-sees-coronavirus-outbreaks-in-churches-200854506.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZHJ1ZGdlcmVwb3J0LmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAMiihIYYZmd7E9xCVb9nBS09mRsA0fORb0mmxFC1PDSr_3azneElEk2DQaLIbzQy54jANQk2W9_h_ARdTLbNXKeU1kTCjYuEam-Qiz5vI6K6Kz8KQKiD_xkwqEiB7iYGVGhunu66zNjkiJ-NabbEkoa3RVCVFKxGSuPhb4eSFGzW

Liberalism is a disease

A Day in the Life of Joe Republican

Joe gets up at 6:00 am to prepare his morning coffee. He fills his pot full of good, clean drinking water because some liberal fought for minimum water quality standards. He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some liberal fought to insure their safety and efficacy. All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance. Now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs this day. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry. Joe takes his morning shower, reaching for his shampoo; his bottle is properly labeled with every ingredient and the amount of its contents because some liberal fought for his right to know the amount and identity of the substances he was putting on his body.

Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some tree hugging liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air. He walks to the subway station for his government subsidized ride to work; it saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees. You see, some liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor to society. Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe's employer upholds these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed hell get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some Liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

It's noon time, Joe needs to make a Bank Deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the depression. Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some stupid liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime.

Joe is home from work, and he plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive to his dad's; his car is among the safest in the world be cause some wacko liberal (Ralph Nader!) fought for car safety standards. He arrives at his boyhood home. He was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmer's Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electricity until some big government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification. He is happy to see his dad who is now retired. His dad lives on Social Security and his union pension because some liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to.

After his visit with dad he gets back in his car for the ride home. He turns on a radio talk show. The host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't tell Joe that his beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefi that Joe enjoys throughout his day. Joe agrees. "We don't need those big government liberals ruining our lives", he says. "After all, I'm a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have".

Pretty much mirrors the results of a discussion that I had with someone on this board (not you) over 6 weeks ago.  They disagreed or were skeptical of this premise.

It seems like this is the first thing I've seen suggesting an effective late-stage treatment for Covid patients.

I've been wanting to see data from the countries that opened schools before businesses. Looks great.
