That's odd, how is that some yokels from a Bills football message board knew this would be the case yet many of the so-called "experts" didn't?

Some of us have been way ahead of some of these infectious disease doctors on many of these COVID issues.   How can that be?  I'll tell you, one thing that I have learned about this entire COVID experience is that it has so many different layers to it and although people like Fauci and crew have value, it takes more than doctors and experts to come to good decision making.   Data aggregation by data experts who know how to sift through data and come to statistical determinations are probably one of the most important if not most important people that should be part of the decision making.   The infectious disease experts while valuable in helping understand the underlying disease are limited in scope.  They sort of have tunnel vision and just like any doctor, they are trained and used to saying to taking the "safe" and precautious route in just about everything.

Of course, taking the safe and precautious route has real world implications which in this case involves deleterious effects in wrecking people's livelihoods and mental/physical health.

They hate Atlas, because Atlas is in the spot light and truth be told, they probably honestly believe that he is giving reckless advice.   I have seen and heard what Atlas has said and there is nothing that he has said that I can think of that I disagree with.  The things he is saying cannot be 100% verified at this time, and going back to what I said earlier these doctors are cautious by nature and Atlas is giving advice that doesn't fit that mold.  But what he says is backed up by statistical probabilities on data he's gone through.   I wish he would have been employed earlier by the Trump task force but in my view he is definitely who Trump would want out there.  These other guys keep saying contradictory things and what they say is very alarmist in nature.

Fauci stands to reap millions from his/CDC  vaccine patents

of course, this is in addition to his patents on the virus itself

not much need for a vaccine when the fear about the severeity of the virus is stripped away

to show a 99.7% survival rate

Wow, this is just horrifically ill-informed. As a starting point:

I know many men think women are illogical and emotional, but after spending years on Buffalo Bills message boards that are predominately male ... let's just say neither sex has the market cornered on histrionics.

Well, let's set aside for the moment those, umm, unorthodox cites and start with a simple correction:

I have to be honest, the Titans news scares me too.... not to do with the virus, but cause I don’t want the season cancelled and I know the fear mongers would love to see that happen (maybe right before the election: “Trump’s response is so bad football is canceled!”)

Full Nazi lockdown on all covid stuff on the main board. I actually don’t mind. It’s better than the selective editing removing any opinions, sources, and facts differing from the main steam that we’ve had till now.

The NFL has the experience of MLB to go on.

There were a couple notable outbreaks: the Marlins first, the Cardinals worst.

MLB responded aggressively by postponing games.

It worked. They got their 2-month season in, they'll get their (diminished) playoff ratings in an (expanded) post-season and World Series.

The league is not overreacting; they're protecting the viability of their product in this 2020 season.

If you're a Titans fan it kinda sucks. It did for the Marlins and Cards too, but interestingly, despite the severe disruptions, both are in the playoffs.

Why arent they just practicing and not interacting with people actually at risk?

Don't come in contact with the coaches, maybe?  Not sure they even care. The players aren't even going to end up any more sick then if they had a flu (if AT ALL) let alone hospitalized and no one is dying.  NO ONE.

Does anyone realize how asinine this all is yet?

Completely asinine.

Again, I don't think it is. The NFL is protecting a product, and for this season, that product is a TV show that plays every Sunday, Monday, and Thursday night and all day on Sunday afternoon.

They realize (like MLB) that if this spreads beyond the Titans they're gonna shut down or be shut down. It is a business decision.

Yet.

I guess you are indemnifying the NFL if the Steelers travel to TN and a member of their traveling party (needn't be a player or coach) gets sick. Awfully nice of you.

Besides: if the game is postponed for a bit (not for too long ... let's say just until Tuesday) the Titans get a short week to prepare for the Bills on 10/11. So I'm all for it.

Georgia (remember the state where the media said everyone was going to die back in late April for reopening but we haven't followed up that fear mongering I mean reporting since, because that same media is basically DNC run) they now have fewer deaths per million than the Locked Down People's Republic of Illinois.

And Georgia has 2,000 fewer deaths.  Yes Illinois has 2 million more people but as I said....Illinois has passed them in deaths per million.

Guess who else Illinois passed in deaths per million.  Florida.  They may have almost half the population of Florida but right on par with cases to.  A little less than half.

Nothing to see here.  You're a dupe if you aren't doing everything Indiana and Florida are doing.  And a coward.

Oh one more thing.

If you go to the Worldometers site for the "cases"! count....  https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

Scroll over to that deaths per million column.  Click it so you can see it in descending and ascending order.

Notice anything?

Its only confirms what the scientists the Left have deemed problematic and kick off YouTube for theorizing for months.

The states with well over 500 deaths per million cases have plummeted.  And their systems were never overwhelmed.  Unless you were laid off then their unemployment bureaus were overwhelmed sure.

And the states with less than 500 are the ones seeing the most new "cases!"

Carry on.  Nothing to see here.

211,464 dead Americans and the Donald Q Trump is making jokes

That was perhaps the most ridiculous line in a ridiculous night.

We've all seen that clip a hundred times. Trump saying something about maybe taking an antiseptic cleaner and "injecting it inside the body." Dr. Birx sitting there stone faced, worried that she might be seen to nod approval or grimace in disapproval. Nobody laughing, and the President not cracking anything resembling a knowing smile or wink.

He was dead serious. He thought he was sounding smart -- hey, I have an idea! -- and it was perhaps the stupidest single thing a President has ever said in public.

I find it interesting that he didn't pick up on the phony justifications thrown out there by his supporters, stuff about how "in a general sense it is true that some anti-virals are in fact administered internally" or whatever it was they were saying. No. He knows how stupid he sounded, so he's playing the "I made the most deadpan and long-running joke in history" card.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the President of the United States.

K.

There is no getting 'back to normal,' experts say. The sooner we accept that, the better

(CNN)As 2020 slides into and probably infects 2021, try to take heart in one discomfiting fact: Things are most likely never going "back to normal."

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/09/30/health/back-to-normal-bias-wellness/index.html

I'd attach the rest but it's so infuriating its making me consider calling my local Proud Boys affiliate and work on storming Richmond.

I only hear literally only hear "they might get a cold or headache....bad flu response at worst."

Exactly. He is 74, obese, and of course may have had some type of health episode last November.

This is no joke.

And it has to be said: from what we know he exhibited grossly irresponsible behavior, traveling to a NJ fundraiser after Hope Hicks had tested positive.
