RPbillsfan
With the coaching change and a potential rebuild in Chicago would you make a draft pick offer for Patrick Kane. He's only 29 and would have three to four quality years left. We do have three first round picks and I'm wondering if Kane is the additional forward to add with so much depth in our farm system. Fadingpain
The baggage doesn't bother me at all. He's too good and too proven. Don't think he will be available until he is no longer worth having, however.

BillsPride12
I don't know how it would work out salary cap wise but if we are talking fantasy scenario's I would much rather see them make a push at signing Panarin when he hits free agency. apuszczalowski
He's a great hockey player, but one of those home town guys you probably would not be wise to have brought here to play. I think surrounding him with all his friends would just lead him to more trouble. Just coming home to visit in the offseason hes had an alleged rape, and before that an assault of a cab driver. LikeIGiveADarn
Yes, his "Off-Ice" issues are built up way too much. We could never make it work with the cap. Chicago would have to take AT LEAST Okposo just to get him under our cap. They have no reason at all to do that unless Kane refuses to be traded anywhere but here. May Day 10
I would say maybe, depending on the cost. I also doubt Chicago is going for a complete tear-down at this point. They have Jeff Skinner, who is 3 years younger and production wont be far off from Kane. Kane makes $10.5 million against the cap. Skinner may be $7-$9 million against. Jay_Fixit
I’m not a Sabres fan so “we” doesn’t apply. As an Oilers fan, absolutely. However I just wish there was a winger that the Oilers recently had who Chiarelli traded away for Larsson that they could have back....

Agreed 100% about the Kane case. The cabbie thing isn't justifiable. But it happened ten years ago. I more or less meant the part about Eichel being a douche. The others side too dumb, the gang that couldn't shoot straight. Kane's lawyers seized on it, fouled it all up no doubt. Then pay Her off for her troubles. Brilliant. Relative to the era they played in I would say yes. modano and LaFontaine were 1x all stars and never won an MVP iirc Kane still has atleast 5+ years left and is a 4x all star and NHL MVP. Also 3x cup winner the only American MVP and point leader of all time he doenst have the durability of those 2 but his skill is all world. He had the best hands in the world at 1 point, still might.. and can pass like crosby Edited November 14, 2018 by Buffalo716
The Senator
Every time Kane comes home to Buffalo, he seems to get in some sort of trouble or jam. I understand that’s partly why he sold his Lake Erie mansion after only a few years. i wish him well...in Chicago.

I don't know how many times Perrault was an all star, but I'm guessing less than Martin, because Perrault had tougher competition at center than Martin had at wing. That can certainly explain the all star selections... but it doesn’t negate the fact that Kane is the only American MVP and only American to lead the league in points
