It doesn't matter whether she attends or not. Everyone already knows which way she will vote.

While that's true, this does open up a very important discussion about the court and when its members should be removed from the bench. We already know she cast a vote while recovering from surgery (meaning she was on painkillers and other mind altering drugs at the time of her decision). Now, in that case, if she were "clear headed" she likely would have voted the same... but should we set such a precedent to allow supremes to vote while under the influence?

Really...not retiring at this point is an abrogation of her responsibility as a Justice in preference for party loyalty.

I'd suspect that it's more ego and a lack of anything better to do with her time than party loyalty.

"It Might Be Time to Start Fireproofing the Reichstag/Ruth Bader Ginsburg's absence signals our last line of defense is in peril."

Writes Charles P. Pierce in Esquire.
It's time for everyone to start getting used to the fact that, unless some massive legal apocalypse intervenes, the president is going to get at least one more nominee for the United States Supreme Court and that, barring a sudden desire to keep the republic from turning entirely to guacamole, the Senate is going to rubber-stamp Justice Wingnut McWingnutty onto the Court for the next 40 years.....

[And Trump] has announced that he will give a Big Boy speech on TV Tuesday night, which will be followed by his taking his unending road show to the border on Thursday because that's just what the border needs. He can go there because there is no emergency....

ADDED: I looked up how old Pierce is because I was thinking that there's got to be some age limit on humor like "Justice Wingnut McWingnutty" and "republic turning... to guacamole." I'd recommending moving on to a better level of sophistication certainly before leaving college. Pierce is 65!

If it were possible, would you subtract one day off your life and add it to Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s life for one extra day of good health? If just 10,000 people did this, it would add 27 productive years to her life.

If possible, would you subtract one beer from your fridge, and add it to Brett Kavenaughs fridge? If just 10,000 people did this, he would have 40 more years of happily pissing off liberals and liking beer.

That is almost Peoples-Temple-level crazy.  Really...anyone who would contemplate this would at least consider drinking cyanide-laced kool-aid if Ginsburg asked.

That is not right.  In a very serious mental-health sense.

The best one is she's been dead since December and they're hiding her clone until its programming is done.

So just to summarize:

Trump's combatting of human trafficking is causing a shortage of children from whose pineal glands adrenochrome can be harvested from.  And this shortage of adrenochrome is delaying the programming of RBG's clone, which is why no one's seen her recently, because she died in December.

What's more...I just shared this with my team, and one of my developers told me his mother was RBG's respiratory therapist after the surgery.  Which denial PROVES this is being covered up!

WAKE UP, SHEEPLE!!!!!!

If Trump gets to replace RBG, it boggles the mind to consider the type of meltdown we'll see from the left.

Especially when they'll be forced to attack a female nominee this time.

And once RBG goes, Thomas will retire.

Thats at least two more SCOTUS picks, potentially before 2020.

Exactly. I'm sure Pelosi will dig up some men who will swear the the (fill in the blank) female nominee used to take part in gang-bang orgies, and Avanetti will get Ron Jeremy to swear the nominee hired him for some hot MILF porn action, and all the leftist chicks will call her a ***** after Bradley Manning testifies that boinking the nominee is the reason he decided to pretend to be a chick.

Or something like that.

I'm just looking forward to all the "gender is merely a social construct" people calling her a "gender traitor."

If that happened, historians might have to stop referring to this SCOTUS era as the "Robert's Court" and change it to the "Trump Court"

Hmmm....

https://www.politico.com/amp/story/2019/01/10/trump-white-house-urging-allies-to-prepare-for-possible-rbg-departure-1096102

I've heard a TON of chatter today (online/social media chatter not directly from people I know/trust) that RBG is going to announce she's stepping down this week. Didn't put any stock in it (still don't put much), but now it seems like it's stemming from this piece just dropped by Politico.

The WH is likely just being prudent... or they know what's about to happen.

the counter to that would be that, that was back in 2013 when her remarks were made and who would have known then that Trump would be President today or that he would have already appointed two justices.

You have to believe that one of the left's biggest failures has been to convince RBG to retire while Obama was president. You have to believe she, like every other leftist, was convinced beyond doubt that Hillary would win. But they weren't smart enough to take the points when they had them. They had to go for six.

I think it's easily argued that if she retires and Trump gets to replace her, that everything you've seen done by the left toward Trump to this time will seem like child's play. They'll burn down the WH.

This, combined with Trump's exposing their rank hypocrisy on the wall issue, is going to cause them to become outright militant. I. Can. Not. F*cking. Wait.
