This is what I refer to as the Don Beebe Theory.

Don Beebe was an OK WR but because he played for the Bills, he was totally overvalued by the team's fans. Beebe became overvalued solely because of the team's fans having blinders on about the player.

Beebe was a good complementary WR who absolutely would be a lock to make the current Bills roster if they had a time machine to get him....

At this rate we're 1 year away from just picking him up off the street...if we wanted him.

3 year 48 million dollar contract with the Chiefs.  ???

I'd rather have Sammy Watkins back

Same.    That ship sailed with the no passing era

If they were so desperate to need the services of a dime-a-dozen journeyman receiver then they would have just kept Streater on the roster.

Thompson is a journeyman...........but he's a legit one...........he can play the position and contributes on special teams etc..

Streater has hardly even played in the NFL since 2013..........he's more of a human interest story than an actual NFL player.

They aren't comparable.

Both are unemployed veterans who are unlikely to ever play a regular season snap in the NFL again.

Quite comparable.

Thompson in 11 games.  Made big plays and showed the ability to get open deep.

Worked to get open.  Knew where the 1st down markers were.

Not a #1 or #2 WR, but consistently productive when he took the field. Someone will sign him over the weekend.  Hope it's us.

I don't know a Bills fan who wouldn't

Go back in time and see most of us didn't want to keep him and felt San Fran grossly overpaid for him.  Hard to know who was right given his history of injuries.  Is he a one hit wonder with the 49ers or did he just need more time to develop.  Don't tell me he had TT as a QB or the Olympics. It was injuries that held him back in Buffalo.

Goodwin used to fake injuries all the time IMO. Didn't want to hurt his track career and chance at making the Olympics. Once that ended, his injuries were over. What a coincidence.
