Why don't you leave him alone? Why don't you drop the moderator talk?

I know the pattern. You believe that taunting a moderator makes you look brave. And rebellious.  It makes you feel brave. Makes you smile.

While all the while you are essentially cowering behind the restraint he must have as a moderator.

You have been at this for at least days now. Goodness knows how long for real, I have only begun to notice for the last few days.

Next you will accuse me of kissing up to a moderator. I know how this story goes.

Just so you know, if it was up to me I would give you one clear warning to stop, And to not even go anywhere near doing what you are doing. To make no cute attempt to skirt the warning.

And then if you did it again I would kick you and your 11,000 posts out of here.

Because that is probably where this will end anyways. No normal person carries on like you are.

Argue and debate if you want, but leave the moderator part completely out of it in word and in deed. That's my opinion.

We now return to our regular schedule programming.

3) You didn't keep at it yet. Im hoping you stop :) But I would only want to be so empowered long enough to stop you. It's a very lousy job. I do not want it for longer than 5 minutes.

4) Good.

You missed a few.  See the one up top?   Easy to understand why because you are also critical of Tim Grah.........I mean because it was such a LONG POST.    That's why you missed it.   Yep.

I didn't try to get around the bad word filter, so I've done nothing wrong.  But report me, if you must.

I agree.  I believe TG meant what he said.  So the real question is, "Why single out Vic?"

if one looks at this without emotion. he might be calling on Sal's past.

and making a serious move in regard to his knowledge of something particular to Sal.

What has Timmy so irked he threw such a large rock , certainly knowing the ripples ? He has the attention of nearly everyone now. Pegulas probably know of it by now.

as mentioned , the venue, the timing, the allegation about Bennett being referenced half assedly .
dude is pissed about something for sure.

and i think its conscious, deliberate and thought out.
we shall see.

TBD really allowing quality posting these days.

Yeah Hap seemed to be conveniently.......intentionally?......... missing some of the obviously incendiary/violent takes and MF'ing from his side of the argument.

I was getting edited for nothing even close to that because I wasn't on the "TG is an awful human being" side of the argument.

Just using a nearby, obvious illustration.    There were worse, as Jpsredemption illustrated.

Never reported anyone on TSW.

These TBN threads bring out a lot of wannabe journalist killers it's nearly a given it will get ugly.

They bring out a few people who like to advocate for journalists who overstep their bounds and hide behind a keyboard (different than us, because they are supposed to be professionals) to say something completely out of line at a completely inopportune time.  Tim Graham is a dick. He'a always been a dick.  He's always been a baby. He's always cried, then blocked people who disagree with him.  It's why he took his ball from TBD and went crying home  to Lori, I mean Mommy.  He's a hack and shame on anyone defending what he did to smear what was supposed to be a great event at an incredibly important time (Jimmy V announcement).  He's a puke.

Lots of folks excuse behavior in former colleagues and friends that they'd sincerely deplore in people they don't know

True.  But I will also add that the situation happened 20 years ago and Bennett did the time/counseling mandated under terms of the plea agreement with the prosecutors.  He did a bad thing, he received and completed his punishment.  His name has not been associated with any criminality since then that I've heard.  I'm sure Kelly and others recognize their own foibles, some known, much probably unknown,  in their forbearance toward Buiscut's misdeed.

If Graham has an issue with Carucci he should speak to him directly instead of using Bennett's old situation.  I'm sure he sees Carucci often enough to face-to-face with him.

The only thing Graham has an issue with is people not paying attention to him.

It's just that simple.

Not necessarily.    I personally think Bennett was probably guilty, at least of what he pled to, maybe more.  But his wife was pregnant, he was due to earn millions from the Falcons, and he was at risk to lose millions if he took the case to court, different misbehavior came to light, and the NFL suspended him (eg drug use).

Again, not trying to argue Bennett was not guilty, simply pointing out that people do plead guilty to misdemeanors at times, even if they could probably fight them and win, because they perceive themselves as losing more than they risk by having a misdemeanor as a criminal record.

Neither was his lawyer.  He pled to committing "vicious acts" during a sexual assault and jumped on a deal that would only charge him with a misdemeanor and only have a 60 day jail sentence.

He had zero chance to "fight and win" at trial.  HE took a great del when he saw it.  The DA offered a great deal because he knows how tough rape cases against pro athletes are to win.

So he gets the win, Bennett skates with 32 days vacation and the victim gets screwed again.

When he followed it up with the “woke” comment it became apparent he wasn’t going at Vic or Bennett but the fans.

The same fans who moaned and groaned and even asked for JS and BG to be replaced don’t even know what type of people they are cheering for or turn a blind eye towards it.

You hate the people you get the news from but you don’t even care/know how foul some of your own hero’s are. Let’s focus on the media though.

I can see your larger point and,if that’s the case, then Graham’s point is lost. Realistically, how many fans convey “hero” status on Cornelius Bennett today? Certainly not any fans born after 1998. And certainly not the fans of his era who are acutely aware of his abhorrent behavior and had lost any respect they might have had for him at one time. So who is left for Graham to preach to in the fashion he chose in his tweet? Fans who might not know better than to realize great football players can also be deplorable human beings?

As a broad point (independent of Graham) that's an interesting one and has some validity.

The thing is, no one is particularly cheering for Bennett today.  To the modern fans, he's just a name I believe.

Back in the 1990s.....I wonder how much the media knew and how much of a blind eye was turned towards some of the Superbowl Bills team behavior?

I said upthread, I would completely respect Graham if he had chosen to raise a hard journalistic point like "Kelly....why'd you invite this guy?" or Bennett's past directly.

I don't think that's what he did, though.  I think he was taking a shot at Carrucci for his own personal reasons, with Kelly and Bennett as his means to an end.

I think everyone else he said later is"spin" once he caught some flak for it.

I get the point with Bennett not being a star anymore but I could see how a guy like TG would feel annoyed with the fan base and lash out a bit. I’m not saying it’s correct or appropriate, it’s just how I interpreted his initial comment and then his follow up.
