No way that McD/B first incline that Tyrod is not the future of this organization just occurred today.... Unfortunate Could have gotten at least a 3rd or a player? The Now Moment Posted November 15, 2017 Share Posted November 15, 2017 The thing is, a new coaching staff bringing a new scheme should at least see what they have in a QB before ditching him to the curb. He could've played extremely well, unfortunately, it didn't pan out. But as a head coach, with a position like QB, you have to let him play and see what you have. Now that you know, you can move on. Who was giving up anything for Tyrod taylor when garrapolo was only traded for a 2nd, we probably at best could have received a 5th but that is just me talking out of my ass since I have no clue either. The last few weeks the offense has been erratic to putrid. I like that Mcdermott made the change now instead of just conceding the season first before the move is made. C'mon, there is absolutely zero market for Taylor. Rex Ryan is/was the only coach who wanted Taylor as his QB and not be a backup. Where is sexy Rexy now. Lets not jump jump the gum here anyway. Peterman hasn't even started a game yet. I hope like crazy that Peterman grabs the starting role, does great and never looks back. But Tyrod starting again is not an impossible scenario as of right now. Plus, IMO it would have been a pretty dirty move to renegotiate his contract and then immediately trade him afterwards... and I don't think anyone was trading for him when he had that 5 year $90M (or whatever it was) contract extension. It was the right move bringing Tyrod back on that renegotiated contract. Who else did the Bills have on the roster at the time? Nobody... McD respected that and believed that if he could just take a tiny step forward, it could work. And Tyrod seemingly took that step at times, but the past 2 weeks showed it's not consistent. Either way, it's not that big of a deal. Not like we're hurting for draft picks. It was worth trying to see if Tyrod could do it. He couldn't. Moving on!
