But Bills at least got attention in article using Bills game photo. It would be financially better for all just to not play anthem at games. Nike has taken an obvious stance on the Trump vs NFL controversy, a story that is unlikely to go away in the coming weeks. For now, Nike stands alone. But other sponsors may be studying the response to Nike’s statement for an indicator of what they should do. And the response has already begun. On social media, search “Nike NFL” and you’ll find some Twitter users applauding Nike, but you’ll also find many claiming they will now boycott Nike products because of Nike’s support of the player protests. Of course we also have Bills "fans" who say they are going to boycott or stop watching but still continue to post although many do so to DOG the Bills so the boycotters may just be hot air. Be ironic if he managed to kill the NFL over this, 30 years later. The NFL is doing a fine job of killing itself all by itself. Doesn't need any help. Over the top commercialization, out of sight compensation, 22 minutes of action in a 3 hour event, alcohol-soaked stadiums: now its a national protest platform; its all pretty much going in the wrong direction slowly. Well said. All good points. Especially the over-commercialization. The lack of "flow" to the ball game because of this has caused me to tune out. They know who butters their bread. Another one? New era. Another one Budweiser, etc. The Von Miller story turns out to be fake news. Since his deal expired months ago. Besides how much does some chump car dealer pay for a players endorsement. Answer: Pocket change in the players view. That douche owner did that too get publicity for a friggin car dealership. Please corporate America drop every NFL endorsement. And watch Goodell squirm. So sick of the NFL over commercialization by the NFL. How far off are tv viewers away from a commercial after every play? Watched a Bill/Fish game from 1988 recently with commercials. It was an amazing difference from the current NFL. Basically one sponsor HERTZ. Back then they didn't even cut to commercials after a score. the few commercials played showed some guy running through airports. The flag is more important and bigger than Trump or Lincoln or Washington for that matter. That's why I hate kneeling during the anthem because it seems to me it's in spite of trump.
