Juice_32
Rather interesting who he works for given his public comment that humans weren't meant to play football. My thoughts exactly. Perhaps this company is actually developing android technology that will erase the human element in the game by 2037. Or it's a front for porn. cba fan
Or, just get a job with a team that will let him be a GM. YES. You just nailed it. Thanks. And of course let him pick the coach for all the obvious reasons.

Lurker
Strange news for a guy who is in high demand to call his shot for an nfl exec role The job opening will come after the season, when the NFL front office meat market gets underway... simool
One of the better Pro Personnel guys in the business and he would be an asset to any team in that capacity. Happy to see he is working.
Gugny
Rather interesting who he works for given his public comment that humans weren't meant to play football. First thing that came to my mind, as well. I've always been a Whaley fan and I hope he does well.

BuffaloBillyG
Reports are he has already gone rogue and fired Fred Jackson. Jackson didn't even work there. Seriously good for him. He may not have known how to find a quality QB or handle the press but he's a good guy and a snappy dresser. Much luck Doug.
SoCal Deek
This just goes to show you that once you reach the top of your profession, there isn't anywhere else to go....but down. I'm actually amazed that he hasn't gotten back into things in a lesser role with another NFL or College program.

Billy Zabka
At Whaley's urging, Impellia hired Percy Harvin, but unfortunately he got a migraine on his first day and went home at lunch.

26CornerBlitz
Where are the people who said he'd have a job within a week as a GM if we fired him? LOL The only GM jobs that have opened since his firing are KC and CAR with one in-house hire and the other going to the former GM on an interim basis. You would think that with such an in-demand football genius, those teams would be more "privy" No success in 7 years in a high up role/gm + Feuding with 2 head coaches + Catastrophic cap decisions + Trading up in the draft with awful results + A media liability = Imo he doesnt sniff a gm position Maybe he gets on somewhere as a pro scouting director and can figure things out and work his way to gm someday. At least sabres fans realize tim murray was a disaster
