What number did O.J. Simpson wear his rookie year?

32 in the regular season, 36 in training camp when 32 belonged to Gary McDermott, who went in final cuts.

Speaking of which: who was the Bills starting RB before OJ? Hint: #22.

I was there sitting near that goalline and all the Niners fans stood up, as did my Bills' fan friend. I just sat there and told my friend "Please tell me it's being called back"

I was there as well but I was at the other goal line. we were in the first row at about the 5 yd line so we couldn't see squat when they were at the other end of the field. I couldn't figure out why they all started running towards us. after a second or two it sunk in, fumble.

I remember that game being cold and raining. I remember Bruce getting what could have been a gamechanging sack/fumble called back on a horrible ghost penalty of some sort.

I thought Ernie Davis was drafted by the Cleveland Browns.

Actually he was drafted by Washington and traded to Cleveland. But he was also drafted by Buffalo. In the early days of the AFL there was no agreement between the AFL and the NFL, so they both had their own individual drafts and then competed with each other to sign the players.

....what former Bill and Buffalo politician as well as AFL all-star played for the Bills as a receiver, defensive back, punt and kickoff return man and backup quarterback from 1963 to 1968. I

Ed Rutkowski.
