As long as Brady is playing at a high level, the Patriots are never going to cut ties with him. It's not as easy to replace a GOAT quarterback as it is anyone else on the team. That said a lot with them keeping both guys. If I was a pats fan I wouldn't be upset if this was Brady's last year. He will be 40 at the start of this season. I don't know if JG will be the guy but if they feel like they have someone to take a shot with transitioning to, what's worst case? You miss out on 1 year of Brady playing well and the replacement flops? We have the Brady is almost done thread every year since 2012 but I think this is his last year as the guy. Maaaaaybe 2 more. Now I am losing it. i would have some happiness seeing him go somewhere else and totally fall off a cliff. End his career as Favre, stumbling and bumbling from team to team before retiring.
