Just another example of the 1% keeping us down. How much does the CEO make?

They'll probably get replaced by chinese announcers.

No announcers, please!!

I can see exactly what happened out there, 1 in 15 hired has something interesting to listen do during lulls in the broadcast.

Worst is the three doing Final Four games, add nothing but screaming someone dunked the ball out there...

No network is losing money on their NFL contract. It is the only guaranteed money maker on TV year after year.

Yeah, that's why ESPN is cutting 100 people today.

They're paying the NFL $800M more a year than the next closest network. Expect that to change in 2022.

The NBA is the league with several outrageous long term contracts that never made sense for even one second, they have to rewrite the rules to get out of this mess every so often.

All of these people got cut for a simple reason. They don't yell nearly enough. You don't see Stephen A. Smith unemployed do you?

ESPN is doomed. I doubt it'll be around in 2022 to renegotiate the contract. Signs of irreversible decline are everywhere. Their website is even garbage.

They didn't say much which is appalling. Bob Ley commented.

Mort commented while he was on SiriusXM NFL Radio earlier as well. Said it was a sad day to see so many friends and good journalists let go.

They've overpaid/been overpaying for lots of content.
