HELL NO!!! (In my Stephen A Smith voice)

Don't worry, Seattle would laugh in Whaley's face if he proposed such a trade.

You said the draft was deep at RB. Why would Seattle give up a top 4 DB for an aging RB. They can just draft a young RB and keep Sherman

They wouldn't even consider it. I doubt they would give us a 4th round pick for McCoy.

In an NFL draft that is deep with running back and cornerback talent, this trade might make sense for both parties. Seattle may not get the value they are looking for with a Sherman trade with such a deep draft class. Mccoy is 28 years old and still posting big time numbers in the running game. He is under contract until 2019 with a base salary of roughly 6 million and a cap number of around 9 million per year. Sherman (also 28 years old) is under contract until 2018 with a base guaranteed salary of roughly 11 million and cap hit of 13 million. As part of the trade, perhaps Sherman would need to agree to an extension. Although McCoy would be a significant loss, I think Gillislee would be capable behind our pretty solid O line. This is a draft deep with running back talent so a rb could be drafted in the later rounds to compliment gillislee. Seattle recently signed Eddy Lacy, but McCoy would be a deadly weapon in the seattle offense especially with his ability to catch the ball. The acquisition of Sherman would solidify our secondary and add some much needed grittiness to our defense.
