Stevie Johnson may be out of football this year... If the idea is to make Shepard a #3 WR, then yeah, I'd be ticked. But I'm guessing that's not the case, and he's a very good STer. With all the recent signings, there have been two common themes: versatility, and/or ST specialist. The Bills are probably going to do something similar to what they did last offseason to fill "higher" roles. Wait until the FA dust settles, and get good value on mid/low tier FAs that can fill iimportant roles, ala Zach Brown and Lorenzo Alexander, then finish filling in the draft. His improv style would have been even more effective if he played with a better QB. Him and Rodgers would have been fun to watch together. He reminds me of our Logan Thomas snag at the end of last year. It's becoming more common for former HS/College Qb's to make the transition to other positions and become impact players. Why not give him a chance at WR 3 for us and sign him for his special teams ability. I hope we're looking at more players like this. Hes worked awfully hard; hes earned everything in this league," Monken said. "So for him to come up big with a number of plays, Im happy for him -- what that meant to him, what it meant to our team." We may win, we may lose who knows, but what I do know is after the ugliness of the Ryan era it will be refreshing to see this team play with heart again. I agree, this is why I think we will take a WR at 10 and with CB being the deepest position in the draft and also a huge need our 2nd pick will be a CB.
