Bills signing Patrick DiMarco

Tolbert signed a 1 year 1 Million dollar deal. He will be a short yardage runner, not a lead blocker. Patrick DiMarco signed a 4 year, $8,500,000 contract with the Buffalo Bills, including $4,000,000 guaranteed. His cap hit won't be much more than 1 million a year IMO.

I seen the same thing. Just weird that they'd throw a million bucks for Tolbert, when the draft is good for rbs and we tendered Gillislee, and have J Will. I guess were stocked pretty good in the rb stable

PFF had him rated as the best run-blocking FB in all of football last season.

He was 1st team All-Pro in 2015 and has made the Pro Bowl two years in a row.

He is not as big a threat in the passing game as Juice (though he CAN catch the ball unlike Felton), but he is a superior run blocker.

My guess is the money in the Juice sweepstakes got too crazy for Buffalo's liking.

Besides, do Bills fans really want to be chanting "Juuuuuiiiicceee" In Ralph Wilson Stadium again?

Yes!!!!! Next question lol

But if we are that hyped over a fullback sighting on the field we are in BIIIIIIIIIIG trouble come September lol

The off season is young. You have to appreciate the fact that the new staff is showing definite signs of continued commitment to the run game. Without a proven potent passing attack, this is absolutely required. Get a RT and couple of WRs and watch us climb the Offensive standings.

Vet min for a 10 year player is $1m

If truly at a qualified vet min deal, it's only counting at the minimum for a second year player ($615k)I believe, unless the system changed

Im watching the cap. Im watching a need for 4 or 5 starters on defense. Im wondering how they are going to get it done. Very curious about what they are cooking

But adding one of the best at any position is important, no ? I dont think the dollars are really that onerous and it appears that the TT contract freed up fair amount of cap space. Lets see what unfolds over the next 2 months before pre-emptively panicking.

I get that people wanted Juice because he's polish and catches the ball well...

But let's not pretend that signing the best fullback in all of football last year is bad move.

While he isn't as big a threat in the passing game, he is better than Juice at the main job of being a fullback: blocking.

He will pave the way for another great rushing season and will provide quality pass blocking and special teams play to boot.

Good signing (though admittedly a bit high of a price for a FB).

He will also allow the te not have to chip and hang back on numerous plays giving versatility to the power o formation in the way of play action fakes instead of the other team knowing if they contain the edges in the power o formation against us they are good.

Ground and Pound!!!

Too soon?

Good to see the Mick and staff are on the cutting edge. Ryan only went and got 1 FB, these guys grabbed 2 out of the gate. Championship

...offensive BALANCE first........predominate "ground 'n pound" is becoming nauseating.....if I need to put it up 40+ and hand it off 15+ to beat you, so be it.....if I need to put it up 20+ and hand it off 35+ to beat you, so be it.....I need to be able to serve up whatever counters your defense and earns me the "W" PERIOD.....only preference is the "W"..style points earn me squat.......

Two things I learned while searching twitter for "DiMarco"...

1. Falcons fans are very, very pissed that he was allowed to walk

2. There is a porn star with last name DiMarco

No links to #2 I guess? Hope you learned all you needed to learn.

Because I have nothing better to do on a Saturday evening, I watched some fullback film so you don't have to.

Just a quick insight into Patrick DiMarco's on-field persona and it's a good one - http://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/03/11/what-bills-fans-should-expect-from-free-agent-acquisition-fb-patrick-dimarco/

Thanks for the write-up. I really like this signing.
