I would rather take Mike Williams at 10, then grab Evan Engram from ole miss in the second. Grab a safety in the third. You instantly have great specialists that any QB could throw to. Then we draft a QB next year if Cardale doesn't improve.

You need to draft a QB this year and every year until they get it right. Doesn't have to be no.1 but in the first three rounds.

I agree. I don't like any of this years QB's enough to use a first round pick, but we need to take a QB somewhere. We need to use our first round pick to fill an actual need instead of getting cute like we always do. Mike Williams blew me away last night, but do we really want to be the Matt Millen Lions? We can draft receivers from now until the end of time. It's not going to improve this team. If we had an elite QB it would be a different story. Right now we need to build a complete team. We need to win with defense, the running game, and special teams. The Chiefs do it, so why can't we? No need to try to make headlines by drafting a guy like Mike Williams.

I disagree. You don't draft a QB just to draft a QB. You draft a QB when the time is right and when you have a foundation on offense to support him.

If you go by that notion that you're suggesting 1)you're spending high round draft picks that most likely won't contribute immediately or ever 2) you prevent any of the QBs on the roster from developing with a loaded QB corps (see NYJ) 3) you're drafting a QB that you might not necesssarily like or one that doesn't fit your system.

exactly, pass.

What did Lane do to piss off Saban?

Off the field on a personal level, he's a douche bag.

On the field on a professional level, he gets caught up in his "genius".

Were mostly in the same page. Truthfully all the other pieces won't matter until they get a QB. I agree that most of the guys this year would be a stretch at 10. I wouldn't mind a trade down. First and Second for our first then take a QB and help those otjer positions

I couldn't disagree more. That is what we have been trying to do for almost all of the 17 years. This team isnt bad but even.if it were get a QB keep searching until you find one.

You have your opinion, I have mine. But spending a draft pick every year on a QB is excessive. There is no commitment to a player. What happens when you get a QB who shows some glimmer of hope as a rookie but you're not sure if he's the guy? You draft another guy and are quick to give your other QB the hook as soon as they go through a rough patch? Plus, you're leaving the rest of your team exposed by not drafting a positional need

Considering that the Bills essentially followed your formula ever since Donahoe left, is all you need to know. Finding the franchise qb should ALWAYS be a priority when you don't have one

I think it's more to do with the fact that Lane Kiffin is an idiot that forgets that OJ exists than anything else. He's been decent when they remember that he's alive.

That said, we aren't drafting a backup tight end at #10 :D

Jalen Hurts has the accuracy of E.J. Manuel.

Move Glenn to RT, sign a mid-level WR, draft Howard at 10.

Then defense and a QB project.

Flame away

Better yet trade back and take Howard at 15-17.

Add a pick to rebuild the secondary.

I REALLY like the Howard trade down idea... very smart, jettison Clay, and we get Gragg back.

Our offensive line is NOT the issue here... so moving Glenn is a big mistake IMHO.

I laughed, I cried, I spit up my drink :w00t: Nice one.
