Lydon is being utilized, for the most part, in the low post. Certainly not his strength, but it is necessary to play him there. He is frequently wide open, and often mismatched against a guard or a smaller forward. I find myself screaming at the TV to get him the ball, but you know, our guards have to be able to get it to him... Maddening that Gillon will have these amazing games and then a dud almost immediately. He put up 43 and then followed it up with 6. He hits a game winner and has 26 then gets 10. He would be a fantastic backup pg unfortunately Howard is so bad they have to rely on him as the starter. I know teams are game planning White but it would be nice to see a little more aggressiveness from him. G Tech game looms large. I think they need a win and also think they will get it. When Roberson has the ball he looks to pass to anyone lol when he sets picks and rolls to the basket no one ever guards him bc they know he won't get it. And I also would like to see Lydon shoot the three more, he fakes it too much, but am not sure if that's boeheim or he is hesitant And battle I like his game as it is, great at getting to the rim and can hit the outside shot, and yes he needs to be featured more, esp if white is struggling to get a shot Love the screen name!!!!! Beating Miami though in the ACC tourney would be a huge additional notch and I think they can easily do it. Wouldn't be surprised that if they beat Miami, they end up like a 8 or 9 seed. A win over Miami on Wednesday, however, and I think it's an absolute lock. As JR posted above, I think a win over Miami gets us in as high as a 7 or 8 seed. Their good wins are better than any other bubble team and Cuse is just a year away from that magical final four 4. The resume, talent, and coach is going to be hard to leave out. See I think your better off being an 10/11/ seed then the 8/9 because your going to have to play the one seed in the second round. If I'm a fringe team I want the 10/11 seed with a reasonable chance at a 2nd round upset if I win the first game. That's even more true this year, because I don't think all of the #2/3 seeds are going to be that formidable. Miami shooting lights out, even banking in some garbage shots, they got all the bounces it seemed and Gillon needs to take more care of the ball and start scoring. Gordio Posted March 9, 2017 Share Posted March 9, 2017 Not sure what is going to happen Sunday. I think one thing that hurts cuse is the god awful road record. This is a weird year. The Bubble is about as soft as I have ever seen it. I can never remember talking about so mnay 13/14 loss teams on the bubble. There is only one team that made the tournament as an at large with at least 14 losses & that was Georgia when they went 16-14. Their schedule was an anomoly though that year in that I believe 27 out of their 30 opponents were within the top 100 RPI. GO ORANGE!!!! That would be a great matchup for them. Xavier has been in a spiral ever since Sumnter(sp) went down. I believe in their last 9 games the only 2 wins they have are against Depaul.
