JEFF SESSIONS AND HILLARY CLINTON REACT TO BREXIT

Senator Jeff Sessions released a statement on yesterday’s Brexit vote. As usual, Sessions has his finger on the pulse:

[The people’s] strong vote arose not out of fear and pique but out of love for country and pride of place. Their experience with a distant government in Brussels was given a long and fair chance to succeed. In the end, however, they concluded that the costs outweighed the benefits. …

Now it’s our time. The period of the nation state has not ended. No far off global government or union can command the loyalty of a people like their own country. Vague unions have no ability to call on the people to sacrifice for the common good. They seem incapable of making decisions and when they do, they have difficulty executing the decision.

***

In negotiations and relationships, national leaders should first ensure they have protected the safety and legitimate interests of their own people. This principle has been eroded and Brexit is a warning for America. Our British friends have sent the message loud and clear.

The interests of powerful international corporations, media, special interests, and leftist international forces are not coterminous with those of our people. This we must understand. The ultimate interest that our government is legally and morally bound to serve is that of our people.

Just as in the U.K., our November presidential election presents a stark contrast. The establishment forces, the global powers, are promoting their values and their interests. They want to erode borders, rapidly open America’s markets to foreign produced goods, while having little interest in advancing America’s ability to sell abroad. These forces have zero interest in better job opportunities and higher wages for our citizens.

It has been known for years that the European Union has often served as a barrier to its members taking action that would serve their own interests. Perhaps nothing proves this more definitively than the current migrant crisis, where the EU has clearly been part of the problem, not the solution.

Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, had this to say:

Hillary Clinton foreign policy adviser Jake Sullivan said on a conference call Friday that Clinton “doesn’t believe Americans are isolationist” and that the results of Britain’s Brexit vote will not affect the outcome of the American presidential election.

Huh? What does standing up for British sovereignty have to do with being isolationist? If you don’t want to be ruled by unelected bureaucrats, you’re an isolationist? If you don’t want your country’s borders to be dissolved by unlimited immigration, you’re an isolationist?

As is so often the case, it is hard to tell whether Hillary is clueless or disingenuous. Or both.

Cute. But the point is not "survival." It's actually losing much of what's left that makes up the actual kingdom. Used to be the sun never set on the British Empire. Pretty soon it may barely rise on it.

The sun has been setting on the British Empire for years. Keeping Northern Ireland won't change that.

So stolidly British that serious people are now talking about a new, successful Scottish independence referendum and Irish reunification, because Scotland and N. Ireland each voted to Stay.

It would appear those who voted Leave with some sort of misguided aim of preserving the United Kingdom might actually have ended it.

How member nations of the UK decide to handle their own internal affairs is theirs to decide. When I was in Belfast not two years ago, all they focused on in the news was Scotland's vote to leave the UK.

And I would ask you exactly how many nations that have been a part of the British Empire over history weren't made a part of it by conquest?

What nation hasn't been created by conquest? There's Egypt, Japan...

That's about it.

I knew you were an alt-righty.. And yes, Dante would be a perfect fit for your clan.

So just that I get this straight because previously I thought only hack politicos, paid Soro's people and brainwashed college students possessed this mindset. If you don't want 767's flying into your buildings. Malls and bars shot up by religious zealots. Basically you want to keep your civilized society from being overrun by 7th century throwbacks who are totally at odds with a free society? Thats white supremacist belief or just common sense human survival ? I just want people checked out thoroughly like I got checked out. I never felt put out I just understood it was done for security reasons as they didn't want criminals entering the country. Anyway, half my neighborhood is Asian of some form or other and I get along with them swimmingly! Also I would vote for Alan West right now if he were running. You are a liar. A phony and just flat out cheap for going to the race card like a Hillary or a semi retarded guy like Bernie Sanders would. Kind of disappointing.

Global stock markets lost about $2 trillion in value on Friday after Britain voted to leave the European Union, while sterling suffered a record one-day plunge to a 31-year low and money poured into safe-haven gold and government bonds.

The blow to investor confidence and the uncertainty the vote sparked could keep the U.S. Federal Reserve from raising interest rates as planned this year, and even spark a new round of emergency policy easing from major central banks.

Now would be a good time for republicans to remind people that Hillary supports a global tax on rich

I would love to see Hillary asked about this today.

Of course, no one will because the queen can not be questioned...but if he's not to busy saying stupid stuff, perhaps Trump will take the time to bring it up.

Who am I kidding. Trump probably loves this idea.

This is probably the beginning of the end for the EU. It just isn't successful and enough people see it and don't want to be shackled to it.

I was in Ireland a couple of years ago and the tour driver was talking about how the EU mandated that Ireland had to plant several tens of thousands of hectares of trees in order to satisfy their quota for the EU.

It's almost as if people want an actual say in their government, instead of non elected officials telling them how to govern their own country.

Re Scotland, I have a friend who's there now. He's a US CMO who is scouting out locations for their European expansion and was planning to open a branch there with 500+ jobs. He says they have an educated, talented workforce. That's going on hold. Hard to say what's going to happen but banks are already withdrawing investments. So it remains to be seen if the isolationism they apparently wanted comes back to bite them.

On the upside they don't have to give money to Spain and Greece any more. Might as well flush it.

two years it will be bad. They'll pull up from it and be better for it. But they are better being out of the EU than in it.

Now if we could only get states to succeede from the US we would be golden.

Let's not pretend there isn't a global "right" represented by people like (((GG))) and Magox pissing their pants, too.

It may be that in 10-15 years we'll look back upon this time and think how quaint it was that we used to separate along the lines of "conservatives" vs "liberals"

The future of politics may be fought more on the axis of nationalist vs globalists.

That sounds like fun, but the reality is whatever you think this alt-right gig is, and for whatever spoils you think you're getting, or going to get, with someone like Trump or something like Brexit, the reality is that the battles are ultimately fought in the middle...not the fringes, and the alt-right will go the way of the tea party and the coffee party and the progressives and the socialists, and in the end the people with the stomach to meet in the middle will continue to stand.

I don't take any pleasure admitting that. And it doesn't mean you, or me, or anyone else should give up your basic principles. It just means the effort to pull people in your direction will ultimately die because you don't have any money. And the people who are making money on this right now (Coulter, Hannity, Ingraham, O'Reilly, etc.) will stop once the well dries up and they see the next revenue generator, and you'll be left alone with your Make America Great Again hat in one hand and your pud in the other.

Believe...I got scammed once. Now it's your turn. Just watch your wallet.
