Marshawn might not be done?

Recommended Posts

Usually players do this when they are told they need to pay back bonus money so they "unretire" when team has signed replacement or does not have cap space for player. Fans will still defend them against the "greedy" owners. See: Orton, Kyle.

True. Often times the team will let it slide, but Lynch has $5M in signing bonus left.

Was it Lynch that hasn't spent a dollar of his contract and has saved it all? Or am I thinking of another player?

Ding Ding DIng! You are correct Sir.

"Marshawn Lynch has a lot of money," Rapoport said. "He hasn't spent a dime of his actual playing money ... ever."

I saw him minutes after his retirement was announced by the Seahawks. He stormed out of the event we we were at. No one in his entourage was smiling.

I couldn't help but wonder if there was a causal relationship between the announcement and his apparent mood. It might have been coincidence.
