McCoy's nightclub fight and the ongoing investigation

Your missing the point, and I'm not supporting Gronk's actions. His brotherly band of frat boys which is headed by the father are just as wild as anyone else. My point was they get away with it because they maintain their image outside of partying. I can think of 5 or 6 things which Shady did that lost him any benefit of the doubt within public eye. Can you think of any that Gronk or any of his brothers have done?

So when they get drunk and offer someone 10k to screw they are just wild hunks. When someone the public has a distaste for does something like that it's viewed totally differently. Fair? Nope. Reality? Yes.

Really? There have been quite a few things Rob has done that would raise eyebrows most places.

-TMZ caught him making a nice remark about an Asian Guy, saying "I thought these guys only cook fried rice" and calling him "Leslie Chow"

-He was caught promoting a Porn Actress, with Patriots** gear on. For which he had to write a formal apology to the organization.

-He was allegedly caught in a picture getting a kiss from a 16 year old.

Youd' think the guy who wielded the bottle would face a charge, but you'd also think he'd already have been charged by now (and like I said before, I'm sure the cop is complaining of double vision ). And since the cop(s) started the fight, I doubt any charges come down for the rest of the group.

And isn't offering people money to have sex in front of others some sort of crime?

*shrug* he may actually have double vision, or blurriness, or a visual field deficit (loss of vision in a specific area). Traumatic optic neuropathy is a "thing". Although, I'm sure you're correct that it's been mentioned in his presence (as an abstract legal principle of course) that the more severe and prolonged his injuries are, the better the case for felony assault and civil damages.

I don't understand at all the legalities of charges for a group vs individual - if charges are brought against one individual, does it make it more or less difficult to file more charges later? If the police want them to charge the entire party including Shady, would it lessen the case for joint responsibility if they charge one person first which is basically saying we find this person most clearly more responsible?

apparently the couple did not take him up on the offer. But remember this is Gronk, so we just laugh!

How is the Gronk cruise anything like the current McCoy episode?

Isn't that solicitation or something? And unlike Shady, Gronk is from Buffalo, so...

Or something...right?

I have no doubt the cops/FOP are pushing the DA to file AA charges against them all so they can get the deepest pockets caught in their net. But it's looking like that's not going to happen. The best they have is AA against the guy who wielded the bottle, but even then, they have the issues of the cop(s) starting the fight, not calling 911, and not reporting it for 2 days.

It's embarrassing, at the least. But I was just curious whether asking 2 people to have sex in public was a crime. Funny that's the only thing you've responded to in this thread the past 4 or so days.

I like the ones that act like a bad tip one time is why he's guilty.

To be fair, Shady is not a shiny beacon of model behavior. There's been a pattern of being a little, well, Shady: lousy tipping, an incident with a woman on a party bus, and forays at being a raconteur (the females only party).

But there is a bit of a difference between "kind of a douche" and "repeat criminal offender".

The bus thing was proven that he never touched the girl so it really is a non issue. If he pays for a party he can invite whoever the hell he wants to invite.

Yeah I definitely agree with you, why wouldn't you only want hot girls at your party? I actually think it was smart of him. He wanted them to sign a waiver, photo ID. It's really a proactive approach rather than going to a random bar/club.

Whatever Roger wants.

Something happened, and a player was involved, therefore discipline is warranted.

So let's say you're somewhere and a couple of guys jump you and you get the better of them. Therefore discipline is warranted? Sorry, man, but that just doesn't make sense. If it turns out the cops started the incident, Fat Roger had best do nothing unless he wants another off season spent in the courts.

Rodger doesn't have to make sense. That's the point.

That one is the funniest. And it's as if you're not allowed to leave a bad tip for bad service.

just heard on the radio Klemko is reporting on the Gronk party cruise, Gronk offered $10K for a couple to do the nasty in public..

he gets praised as being a fun loving good guy(who i think is great BTW)

Shady brings a hose on a party bus or something...and he is a nefarious character.

I know I am a middle aged, middle-class white dude, but even I can see the difference

Any wonder why he wanted NDA's in place for that other party?

What's the difference between putting your hands on a girl and ordering your bodyguard to do it for you? And let's not act like abandoning her on the jersey turnpike in the middle of the night, soaking wet, isn't the act of a punk either. And like I've said before about his little orgy party. The real face palm moment of that episode was when he used the bills logo on his invitations, and had to be told by the team like a dumbass that he couldn't do that. But the biggie with me was the whole twitter incident with the mother of his child. That really showed to me what a POS this guy really is.

The Gronkowski behaviour is actually an interesting comparison.

Public perception is a moody mistress.

I find the report of him offering the ten grand, and his Father being on board the yacht too, a bit off.

Thing about Rob is he is actually flaunting his monetary leverage and celebrity status.

Just play dumb white jock and Gronkowski can do as he pleases.

world is a messed up place sometimes.

Both guys were probably out to have fun.

Robs fun is premeditated and a bit risque?

And Shady is just hanging out with his friends when something went amiss.

How do we the people, find a value system to judge these acts?
