The Big Cat
That's what I find most puzzling. This ruling just compromised CBA's at every level, in every industry. Am I wrong?
YoloinOhio
@RapSheet: Dont expect @NFL to seek an injunction to keep Tom Brady off the field as they appeal this ruling. Basically, hes playing this season.
Canadian Bills Fan
its ok guys I will take one for the team and draft him in my fantasy football league this weekend. I always curse who ever I draft for QB CBF
CountDorkula
How does Roger continue? Every single player is going to appeal now. Roger has no authority.
plenzmd1
But this has implications for every union everywhere, right!? That is what Cossack was implying on ESPN. Almost calling it new law being written by Berman...but not quite
Hapless Bills Fan
Well, it probably dissappoints his father, now he will have to go to Buffalo this year, and you know there are no decent hotels there..... Perhaps Dareus and the Williams Bros can deflate him now
Dorkington
Of course it was. Others get suspended for marijuana, but cheating? Nah, that's cool.
NoSaint
Exactly as I see it. Cheat and do whatever you want to win. If the league catches you... Just throw out the evidence, refuse your drug test, don't cooperate, whatever it takes. No evidence, no punishment. Just wow. I don't think you fully understand what happened here. I know beer boy gave us trouble over nit picking - but I was trying to outline the issues in the big thread so posters wouldn't be blindsided by this or think it was some conspiracy
Blokestradamus
Serious question...how did the NFL and Goodell screw up? Take a look at the ruling. This is all down to their own incompetence. https://twitter.com/MarkSchofield/status/639445717199790080 Mark Schofield is a football writer and a former lawyer. If you have any questions, I'm sure he could answer them better than I can.
DC Tom
So the league has no authority to punish anyone for anything? Dareus should suit up week one then. No, just things for which there's existing precedent. So if tomorrow, Brady is found to be funneling money and weapons to ISIS, or running a child prostitution ring...can't be punished by the league, no precedent. Dorkington
And when they mess that up it gets overturned too. Usually just reduced. And how did they mess it up? They have evidence it happened.
dhg
So based on this they should just throw out the whole CBA, correct?
Kelly the Dog
This is like the OJ case to me. Clear to pretty much everyone that he did it and the authorities botched so many things up that they let him off on a series of technicalities. I will have to see what the actual ruling is though and what the legal minds explain.
NoSaint
Usually just reduced. And how did they mess it up? They have evidence it happened.read bradys filings in the appeal and itll go a long way to answering your question, if you genuinely want to know. later today we will get more firm answers of what rang through with the judge, but bradys team made good arguments that many of us tried to share with the board as real issues for the last several months. i dont like that it was overturned as a bills fan, but the league has a lot of issues that they need to figure out in their discipline program and i hope a bill isnt caught up with them next given their track record. Over 29 years of fanhood
Goodell won't hold a grudge there by any means. Brady just "shat on the shield" Edited September 3, 2015 by over 20 years of fanhood

Like I believe anything Brady or the Patriots say. But I don't really trust the NFL, either. Meh.
