Round 2 : Sale of the team

Recommended Posts

@JohnKryk: I'm told binding #Bills bids due on Sept 9, #NFL finance comm meets Sept 17. So barring sale shortcuts, the trust will have just 1 week ...

@JohnKryk: ... to choose a preferred bidder, negotiate a price and hammer out a purchase agreement. Oct approval dicey: http://t.co/blQ3QdpRoR #Bills

@JohnKryk: But some of that could be done in advance to expedite, if trust intent on having new owner approved at Oct 7/8 owners meeting. Otherwise Dec

Interesting. There has been some talk suggesting the December meeting wasn't an option. If it is, I suppose there is less pressure to make it happen ASAP. Still it seems like they will likely try to make the deadline for an Oct meeting. And for our sake and sanity, I hope that is the case.

I know it's been spoken of before but the "death" tax will probably hit before the December meeting. Not sure though. Don't know the December meeting date.

Here is my Twitter analytic of the reporters covering the sale:

tpm = tweets per month tpd = tweets per day

Adam Benigni: Joined in February 2012, 3745 tweets, 125 tpm, 4 tpd

John Kryk: Joined in April 2009, 8646 tweets, 135 tpm, 4.5 tpd

John Wawrow: Joined in April 2009, 10,600 tweets, 166 tpm, 5.5 tpd

Tim Graham: Joined in May 2009 19,400 tweets, 308 tpm 10.3 tpd

For comparison, I looked up the stats of the 4 most followed Twitter accounts in the World

Lady Gaga Joined in March 2008 5214 tweets 68 tpm 2.3 tpd

Katy Perry Joined in February 2009 6010 tweets 91 tpm 3.0 tpd

Barack Obama Joined in March 2007 12,300 tweets 138 tpm 4.6 tpd

Justin Bieber Joined in March 2009 27,500 tweets 423 tpm 14.1 tpd

While impressive research, I suggest you analyze which reporters are most susceptible to injury (hurt feelings). I would imagine your findings would indicate Graham is much less valuable as his tweets per day is inflated due to being a crybaby

I know the Beibs has been cranking out the tweets, but I feel his info regarding the Bills sale has been spotty, at best.

Good stats but, um, Lady Gaga, Barack Obama, and Justin Beiber don't really tweet their own tweets in all likelihood. They have people that do it for them. Or most of the tweets anyway. Katy Perry maybe.

Say it ain't so, Kelly. Next you'll tell me professional wrestling is fake. All my illusions shattered!

It's so.

I'm a nobody and my assistant posts most of my posts here, including 100% of the lousy ones and ones where there are mistakes.

Dogs have assistants? And they post here?

I must be a real schmuck if I don't have an assistant.

(No option to embed video anymore? Probably a good thing.)

And with that, I wish you a good evening.

Well sons a beach that's a lot of USELESS info. A pic of Katy Perry would have been nice though.

Graham is not alone in that regard on that list....

I'm just wondering aloud here...

Why are folks giving so much credibility to this Forbes report? I mean, a guy not connected to the sale cites two sources not connected to the sale that supposedly have the exact numbers?

That just seems...odd.

The problem is non of the reports should be considered credible.

This has been a 2 horse race from the start, Pegula and Golisano. The lack of options the next owner will have outside of Erie County made this a 2 horse race.

I half agree with that--nobody ever had a shot at movin this team.

It didn't really become a 2 horse race until the Pritzker family dropped out, as they were very closely involved from the beginning and definitely had the finances to compete.

That said, I'm not wholly convinced its even a 2 horse race at this point. It's El Pegual and then everyone else.

Golisano may have been a courtesy bid based on his relationship with the trust.
