Right, even if it started as a hoax, he lied to cover it up. He said he met her at Stanford, his father said all those things to the South Bend Tribune. It would be terrible if Teo knew about it and his father didn't and he let his father go out there and give all of those quotes that Teo himself knew not to be true. This other guy may be gay and had the hots for Teo' and figured this was way to get closest to him. Plus a lot of this "Teo said this or that about being with her" is from newspaper articles that someone else wrote. Teo is still a kid, and quite possibly very shy around women. A lot these athletes lead sheltered lives. He may have thought this was real relationship with a real woman ... like a modern day "pen pal" kind of thing. Or he could have been exploiting it for national attention from start. I'm not sure T'eo ever referred to her as his girlfriend, but even if he met her there's no reason why the girl couldn't have misrepresented who she was. Everyone seems to be skipping one big item: if there is no dead girl, who was he speaking to on the phone, where is she now and what is her story? I'm guessing someone is requesting some phone company and ISP records right about now. I've read everything there is about this so far and have no !@#$ing clue what's going on. It's difficult for them to compete these guys...some just float crap out there & see what sticks to drive up traffic to their site. If it accurate, they're 1st with the story. Or might she be the one at the epicenter and not him with regards to the lied?
