  1. I agree -- The Bills need a D-Tackle and pass rushing D-End. I am not sure the Bills really missed Dareus as a player as he took too many plays off, but we missed someone who could do what he can do -- clog up the middle.
  2. Jones should never have been drafted - a wasted pick. Peterman sets up nicely and has a pro release, but he needs a ton of help reading the field. I'm not ready to give up on him. I'm not sold that either will ever be a starting QB in this league.
  3. DT -- Can't count on Williams next year and no one else is of starting caliber OG/OT - we need one of each. As someone else said, we could go Tackle and move Glenn, if he is ever healthy, to guard. We still need a Mills replacement QB - Taylor is not the answer, I really wanted him to be, but he's not. I would like to acquire Alex Smith, if he becomes available. He'd fit this offense. LB - We're getting old there. Alexander was re-born in the playoff game, but he was sub-standard most of the year. WR - Need some speed, but more than that someone who can get open.
  4. It's not very exciting, but I like to see the Bills get some good O-Line & D-Line help. Maybe we can get a good o-lineman in FA, but we need to stop getting retreads and get someone solid to play Guard or Tackle. We need a pass rusher and a run stuffer on defense.
  5. Good list. I would add Andrew Norwell from the Panthers as a top guard prospect. He's 6'6" and 325 lbs and he's got got a nasty streak. Has been a top performer on that line. It seems like O-Line is a crap shoot in the draft so getting a proven guy is a top priority.
  6. No thanks. I'm not sold on only physical ability in a QB any more. I really like to look at leadership and what a QB does when it's on the line. Josh Allen has seemed to fold when it's on the line. Mayfield from OK is a guy whoo seems to rise when it's on the line, similar to Watson last year.
  7. Here is some info from Walter football: Drew Lock, QB, Missouri Height: 6-4. Weight: 225. Projected 40 Time: 4.79. Projected Round (2018): 2-4. 12/7/17: Lock set the SEC single-season record for touchdown passes with 43. He went on a tear in the last half of 2017 to lead Missouri to six straight wins after a 1-5 start. Lock has completed 58 percent of his passes this year for 3,695 yards with 43 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Lock is a gunslinger-style quarterback who needs to improve his accuracy for the NFL. He has a big arm with the ability to throw any pass, but he needs to improve his accuracy, field vision, and the speed at which he works through progressions. He can be prone to overthrows, plus can put too much heat on some passes. Lock has good size and can fit the pass into tight windows. He throws the ball well downfield and shows some timing and anticipation. Lock does have the propensity to force throws to covered wideouts as he can trust his arm too much to beat tight coverage. Lock could stand to make improvements before going to the NFL, and improving as a senior might be his best route toward having a good pro career and going higher in his draft. 8. I'm an advocate of getting the O-Line right, because an average QB can look good with the right O-Line, but it's really hard for a good QB to look great when running for his life. That said, for the Bills, if the right QB is available (by the Bills evaluation) then they should never pass him up.
  9. Nice to read and I do think he is a good player (top 10 likely) , but he is not in the same stratosphere as some of the top Tight ends -- Gronk, Kelse, Reed, ... Of copurse, there is a difference of having a Brady throw to you vs a Taylor.
  10. I thought for sure my answer would be the standing buffalo, harking back to the glory years of the 60's, but as I look at them both, I like the charging Buffalo. Now let's get charging Bills!
  11. Nice write up. I would like to be optimistic, but have concerns that the offense my never get on track. The game against the Jets is not a good indication. Carolina has a good defense, but not all world. This game with Denver could be ugly for the Bills offense. They looked very tough this past week. I want to be optimistic, but need to see some progress with the offense. Go Bills!
  12. Glad for the win. The Jets are as bad as reported. The Bills did what they had to do and have the win. We need to find a little more pass rush to help the DB's. We did not need it agains the Jets, but will against better teams. Bottom Line -- the Bills are 1-0!
  13. Michaels is dead to me now. Cris Collingsworth must wear a shirt that says I'm with stupid. That comment was so far over the line as was the Patriot Lovefest that NBC was carrying on in the pre-game and during the game.
  14. Good analysis -- I didn't have the chart numbers, but it seemed to me at the time of the trade the Bills came up a little short. Looks like, according to the numbers, that it true. The caveat with that is that we may have wanted to move out of the pick more than the Chiefs wanted to move into it. If that is true, then we may have had to sweeten the pot a little.
  15. I think Sage was good at her job and knows sports. That said, when you work for someone and represent them, you have to toe the company line, or at least not slap it in the face. I've never been a big Michelle Beadle fan as I think he tries to cover up her lack of knowledge by making strange, unrelated comments.
  16. TRUTH STATED HERE. IF WE ALREADY HAVE OUR NUMBER TWO, THEN SAMMY MIGHT AS WELL GET USED TO BEING DOUBLE TEAMED EVERY PLAY AND TAYLOR WILL BE RUNNING FOR HIS LIFE.
  17. Unbelievable -- I can see this being like one of those 1950's videos on how to be a better wife - just laughable.
  18. I'm surprised to see Peppers #1 at Safety. Most others seem to have him 3rd and dropping to the lower 1/3rd of the 1st round. I think he will be a "in the right system" guy - not sure I want him covering anyone, but roaming and making plays like Troy P (not gonna try to spell his name) from the Steelers.
  19. I would rather see Davis at #10 than Williams. Mike William does have good ball skills and out-fights college DBs for the ball. He does not get alot of separation. I doubt he can dominate pro corners the way he did college. Just my opinion.
  20. I'd pick Jamal Adams. In the AFC East you have to handle the Tight Ends -- we never have.
  21. My understanding, from reports, is that he fell back in trouble with alcohol - -- it was reported in DC news. It's been a problem in the past. I don;t know if that is true, the other point is that Bruce Allen is the team president and he just wanted "yes men" around him and SM is not a yes man.
