  1. Not sure I am excited about an edge rusher, but I understand your logic. I'd really like to see the Bills take the OT Taylor if he is available at 9. I want to see a run stuffer somewhere in the early rounds. the Bills have not been good against the run the past few years.
  2. I'd love to see Bryce Love on this team. He wil slip to at least the 3rd round. I'd hold off and take a chance on catching him in round 4. He's coming off knee surgery so if he's not ready to start the season. that's OK because he can soak up alot of knowledge from Gore and Shady.
  3. I'm with you. I don't link putting, what I would call, and artificial play in the game. That's like the idiotic overtime rule in college. The onside kick-off follows the same rules as a regular kick-off so I am not sure how you outlaw it. There isn't a special rule for an onside kick that is different than a regular kick
  4. I'd love to get Chris Lindstrom of Boston College in the 2nd. He's solid technically and can move around the line if needed.
  5. I see two "most notable" items and therefore notable faces in Bills post merger NFL history. Those would be: 1. The four straight Super Bowl appearances & losses - the faces of the franchise there were Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, & Bruce Smith. You might say the single memorable event there was "wide right" so you could say Scott Norwood. 2. The first 2000 yard rusher - the face there is OJ. Take your choice between them.
  6. In Danny's mind he's trying to find the next Sean Taylor. They have very little cap room and this will use it up. They need a safety, but not at this price.
  7. I'm interested in him in the 4th round, maybe late 3rd. Hopefully he'll last that long. Before he was hurt, had had fallen off this year from last, but he showed me enough last year to take a flyer on him.
  8. I still think the Center is the key O-Line position or at least equal to the Left Tackle. I can not explain the reduction in years of service without some further analysis, but is it possible that some experienced centers retired over the last couple of years, thus reducing the avg years of service?
  9. It's a good move. Cam Newton has looked like" Cam Tucker" when he has been throwing the ball the last few weeks and there is no reason for him to be out there. He's not helping the team at this point. The Panthers are not going anywhere -- get the arm back and go for next year.
  10. That is a big step for the Bills, but temper the enthusiasm with the fact that the J-E-T-S are our opponents this week. That is a big factor in any expert evaluation.
  11. Would not be happy at all to see Love be the Bill's 1st round pick. I don't think he performed as well as he was projected this year and there are a number of backs who will be just as good that can be found in later rounds. One example is Jalin Moore of Appalachian State.
  12. Not alot of it which is why you need to draft it early. I doubt you'll see more than 8 to 10 O-lineman taken in the first 2 rounds.
  13. I'd like to see a 1st round pick used on an O-Lineman. It's not a deep class so I think you need to find the jewels early - Maybe Greg Little or Johan Williams. Of course that depends how high in the draft the Bills are. If too hign, maybe a trade down as I thinnk both of these guys are in the 12-20 range.
  14. Unfortunately there are no offensive linemen this year who measure up to Quentin Nelson last year, but I'd really like to see the Bills grab the top o-linemen in round 1 rather than try to find a diamond in the rough later.
  15. It's too early to tell, but it certainly is a good think to wish for. We'll need to see how he holds up against the bigger receivers and better offenses. I am a little worried about his strength against a large receiver due to his slight build, but he is a hard worker who may find ways to overcome that. fingers crossed!
  16. I don't think there is any chance he comes back next year. If the Bills were going to be a contender next year, there would be a chance, but, unfortunately, the Bills need too much help ( 2 wide outs, 3 o-linemen, tight end,, and probably 2 DBs) to get back to being a playoff team. Great guy and a great player, I think it's retirement time for Kyle.
  17. Witten was bad. He said that Anderson had been with the team for 6 days - interesting since he had played in the past two games. I agree the entire MNF team is sad. I think it was Triplett who could not speak, but then he wasn't good as a referee either. The good news is the announce team gave me something else to focus on instead of the woeful Bills offense.
  18. The closest in the area of a dominant defensive front 7 player is Bradley Chubb. Of course, you mention Ray Lewis in your title and he was certainly not thought to be one on Draft day so that person who will become dominant may not yet be identified until they start playing. I think the most dominant player who will come out of this draft is on offense and he's Quenton Nelson.
  19. The Bills need to use this draft capital to shore up a WEAK O-Line. The Bills lost their two best O-Linemen in Wood & Richie. Without getting someone who can play in those positions (not journeymen they have used at the line like Mills and DuClasse (sp?)) is critical to have any success. We also have a big need at WR and LB to fill.
  20. I know I am in the minority of Buffalo fans, but there are too many needs on this team (Tackle, Guard, QB, WR, LB, CB) for this team to give up high draft choices to go up and get a QB. If a quality QB drops to us at 12 or 22, then we select one and with the other choices we get folks to fill the other holes. A new QB can not play behind the O-Line that exists today.
  21. The Bills have serious work to do with this O-Line. They needed a guard and a tackle BEFORE losing Wood and Incognito. Now they are in what I would call desparate need. The offense will not perform on either the ground or the air with this line. For me, it now becomes a #1 need!
  22. NEW ENGLAND- Tom Brady BUFFALO - AJ McCarron NY JETS - -Josh Rosen MIAMI- Ryan Tannehill
  23. I'd be surprised, but not sad if Peterman was able to beat out McCarron and start, but I can't picture it happening.
  24. I would be OK with having "The Baker" cook up some magic in Buffalo. I like the fact that he is ultra confident, so much so that he walked on at Oklahoma rather than stick with a scholarship somewhere else. Height can be an issue, but I think most Bill's fans remember Doug Flutie and his success in Buffalo until folks thought he was too short and when to the prototypical Rob Johnson. That didn't work out so well.
  25. I agree - the Browns will take Barkley. He's the best player in the draft and will make the offense better immediately. With a #4 pick as well, the Browns still can take one of the top QBs. I hope they take Allen because I don't want the Bills tempted to take that guy.
